1964 LW on ebay.

I remember the article about it in Mopar Collectors Guide. I still have the magazine somewhere in my "library" of Mopar mags.

Yah it's nice but it's missing the aluminum hood & scoop which will set somebody back 10k assuming it's still has the aluminum fenders the motor has been obviously screwed with so who knows what is correct & isn't.
My favorite part is the mecum comparison picture of the a LW car selling for 160k 3 years ago which is a hemi car not even in the same ball park price wise..

Entire drivetrain replaced, 440 in it now. Still very cool, but with hood gone also, don't know about $50k cool.

Yeah, I had two main thoughts reading the description.
¹ OMG, can you get ANYONE to spell check for you??
² The hood missing is a BIG "miss" and it's a shame the original engine and drivetrain are gone.
Having said that, if the other original aluminum parts are in place, that car IS a REAL factory lightweight, and it truly does epitomize one of the major efforts of Chrysler (and the same for the other manufacturers) in the HEAT of factory engineering making their brand faster.
Seriously, the manufacturers were making aluminum panels specifically to make their cars faster for speed competition! That's a big deal!

Aluminum cars were raced from day one, then traded hands and modified. Amazing we have what’s left. Original engine? LOL. Machines to death and Blown up in the first few years.

he's a dreamer if he thinks he's getting
anywhere near $170k,
especially in the current state/condition,
it's in his photos & advert.
not in his lifetime
& he referenced the Mecum Car that was 100% restored
or 100% done, running & driving & 'almost perfect'
that got to $160k & didn't sell
(could have been shill bids too)
an inhouse auction with people cleared & approved credit-wise
& money to spend
That can get a lil' spirited at times,
doesn't reflect the true value in many cases,
it's the value of the 2 bidders, having a pissing contest bidding for it...

of course, that's just my opinion

Well, he likely isn't dreaming of $170k since he also writes I just lowered my reserve to just over $50k

Definitely true, although he says car was never a track car. But I would think it would bring better money with a non-original 426W block, heads, and 12.5 to 1 rotating assembly just stuffed in the trunk, rather than an installed and running 440.

He's had two videos on the car. This one from two months ago.

This one from five days ago. (He finally cleans his camera lense @4:40 mark).
