I searched the forums but didn't seem to find what I was looking for. I recently converted my 65 Satellite to front discs and swapped out the old single reservoir to a dual reservoir. I bought the whole kit including the master from The Right Stuff. I also purchase the full steel brake line kit from Inline Tube including the new hard lines from the master to the dist block. My problem is this: The rear hard line screwed into the master with no problem. The front one, however, only went in about halfway and got really tight but I can still move the line in and out cause its not seated properly. I dont want to force the fitting any tighter for fear of stripping out the master. Is there an adapter I need to put in the master before the steel line? Any suggestions would be super helpful.

One or the other will have to tell you. Obviously one is metric.

I bought the complete kit so I assumed they would be the same fittings. I’ve never had a line with the blue fitting and just thought it was to differentiate which port to go to. Would a metric fitting thread in several turns before getting tight?

Yes.

Ok good to know. I’ll pull the lines and see if the other fitting threads into the front. If it does, I guess my only fix would be to cut the blue fitting off, buy a new fitting and re flare the line right?

They make an adapter fitting that works. Or call inline tube and see if they have the correct line.

It's possible that the threads just were not run deep enough on that port of the MC. Doing the swap of lines should help prove that.

FWIW. Little late on the post, but it’s possible it’s a GM master with a 9/16-18 front port thread. Mopar is 9/16-20. Both use 1/2-20 for the rear brakes. I’ve got one and I’ve tried to screw in the Mopar line on the GM master and it screws in exactly as posted, screws in, gets tight and the brake line can move in and out. Probably need to put on a 9/16-18 flare nut on the brake line and it’ll probably work ok. Don’t know if this will help.

Sounds like you bought 2- incomplete kits.. 1 from right stuff, and 1 from inline tube. Im sure either company would have known whats going on, if you'd let them know or got their recommendation. Careful with the double flare, if thats what you end up doing.
