Wanna go for a ride in a Tesla?

You're just plain stupid and a bigger idiot to get in a car that you think can drive itself, let alone doing just that! When you take the human element out of a vehicle, you're just asking for trouble.

The gift that keeps on giving. Add that to the list of other issues for an electric car and we find ourselves with more questions than answers on how to best move forward.

Bad things are on the way with these Drive by wire is good till the wires mess up.

The world is changing for the bad and stupid.

sad for the family of the 2 people that were killed

wonder if there will be a bunch of lawsuits over this stuff
this new trend, new ambulance chasers cases

will the mfgr be held accountable ?
will the battery co. or that mfgr be liable ?
will this end up being the norm ?
can the fed.'s be liable ?
for pushing & rushing this stuff on the market,
without proper safety measures ?

seems like lots of second party (deep pockets) liabilities
can be had/seen

lesser things plagued the Pinto, Explorer & the Corvair etc.
is this & examples like it, the writing on that proverbial wall ?

will the Fire Departments have to gear up ?
on taxpayers $$
to cover fighting these kinds of issues ?
they will have to evolve too

lots of questions nobody is addressing
not the Chinese Battery mfgr (or US if any) or disposal of the ****
or the dirty *** mining for the sources/material & its waste ?
let alone the electrical grid can't handle it
or another 100 million of them plugged in nightly, by 2030
hell it can't handle it now
or not the Electric Car builders themselves
or the govt. trying to shove that stuff down our throats
who's getting fleeced, who's profiting & why ?
(sorry not trying to turn it political, but that's certainly part of it)
lots of safety liability stuff, will need to be addressed,
it will make them even more expensive,

Ultimately it always comes down to the end-user to pay more $$$
is this **** really truly viable ?, is this our future ?
sort of rush production & not the safety aspects
they need to get that safety aspects **** done & now if that's the plan
this **** will be seen far more often, in the very near future

what about the poison in that smoke too ?

lots of questions & no answers,
not from the people supposed to be protecting US all
from that type of ****, it is a pet (party) project
& it's being rushed/forced thru, at the perils/safety of the public

Just look at the KC-46 Computerized Air Refueling system, no thank you!!

Well, look at it this way the world as we know it is changing. The new age people will inherit this place when we are all dead and gone. But, when they decide to let a machine be incharge of their lives and the results are as posted by the OP the problem will weed itself out. So I guess its a whole other cancel culture coming into play. Slowly they will cancel themselves out. Lets just sit back in our smoggy polluting piles of American steel and watch the world burn. I need another mopar damn it.

EV. Bahhhhloney. An overrated emergency.

I'm not a fan of electric cars in general and especially unmanned cars. Elon Musk is not a fan of the far left and he is hated for that. You gotta think the bigger car manufactures have to be worried about Tesla now that they are all on the band wagon of e.v., let's see if other electric car problems from the big companies get the same press, I doubt it .

He'd be better off spending his time and money into improving the solar shingles for homes instead!

and household energy storage.

Has anyone here ever driven or ridden in one? My neighbor was thinking of getting one and they gave him one to test drive for a weekend.
We took it for a test run on a straight away near our houses. The thing is wicked fast. I clocked 0-60 in under 3 seconds !! Totally silent and pinned to your seat. Can't take that away from Tesla no matter how you feel about EV's.

A Tesla cross-over is the fastest damn car I've ever driven. I think it would take my Roadrunner in the 1/4 mile even with the spray.....damn, damn fast in ludicrous mode...damn fast

I think the taxpayer should fund Tesla focused fire departments in every city. Totally waterless fire suppression. Should be no less than 5 billion dollars. Perhaps Kamala could be the honorary fire chief?

The car did fine. It got rid of two stupid people! My Son in law is a Battalion Chief for a local F.D., and
he said they have had training on how to put the flames down and how and where to cut the power
so the thing doesn't keep "lighting up". 30-40k gallons of water sounds excessive. I personally
like electric cars, and I think we could have alot of fun racing these Babies! We just have to figure
out all of the little problems that come up with Electric systems. Remember, we had electric before
gas, but we had **** batteries. Now we have Lithium Ion! WooHoo!

And it’s against the law to talk on your cell phone when driving, but you can drive a piece of automated crap sitting in the back seat.....:wtf:
