About to start putting my top frame back together. I have the service manual, but not a lot of good illustrations. Was curious if someone would be able to send/post pictures of all the attachment points, please? Mine is completely disassembled. Fixing missing rivet bushings and some rust on the header.

I've been putting this off and dreading it, but it has to be done.

Please and thank you!!!

From what I've read the convertible parts are the same. I have no first hand knowledge of Dodge though.

If you could also get pictures of where the bows and header attach as well, that would be great. I'll take whatever I can get. I'm just getting started. Not exactly sure what all I'll need. Would rather have the pictures ahead of time to start planning, etc. Make sure I'm not missing any little brackets, etc.

Thanks!

Bump...

Please and thank you.

Thank you very much! I don't want to sound impatient or pushy. Just anxious. I understand life gets busy.

Thanks!

Great, thanks! Could you get one more? Trying to see which holes are used for the main bracket to the body. Are there two bolts or three. Service manual doesn't really show.

Ah, thanks! I'm not home with the car, but that looks the same. I was curious about the lower holes. I see the slot is actually used. Are those rubber plugs bottom left and top right on passenger side? Also looks like there is an extra bracket on the driver side bottom.

I think the factory used shims when necessary where it bolts to the car.

There are rubber plugs on both sides and if memory serves, the slotted holes are for the quarter window up stop.

Thanks. I still need to get glass and regulators put back too.

And now I need to dig around for the bolts or get new ones. Seems those either have a large flange or washer for the oversize holes.

Just one more question for now, please.

What is the diameter of the washers on the bolts holding the main brackets to the body? Or are they flange nuts? Been digging through all my parts and cannot find them. :(

Found some bolts at Lowe's, but the captured washer is only 0.875". The holes are roughly 0.75". I found some on McMaster with a 1" captured washer.

They are SEMS bolts 5/16-18 x 7/8. The washer is 1 1/8".

I got some new bolts and mounted up the driver's side frame section. Wow! It's been off for 21 years. Feeling like a bit of a loser here... at the same time it felt great to see it back on. Going to use it as a guide to work through the rivets and bushings on the passenger's side. Then I'll work through the driver's side. Working with a machinist friend to modify rivets and make bushings. Just FYI, I had several bushings that were worn out and sloppy and at lease two that were broken. Apparently this top got a lot of use. I plan to keep that going once it's back on.

I also have to replace a small patch of rust on the header panel.
