Vinyl/rubber floor mat instead of carpet

@onlyone, thanks for the response. I have tried to save one of the original 68 mats and several trunk mats, but once they become brittle, they just crack up to the point that I felt that there were unusable for my needs.

I just measured the thickness of the ACC material and it is 1/16 inch. The originals are a bit thinner which would help with the installation. But for that really bare bones look, this is pretty much what we have to work with. I may try to get some of the material and see if I can duplicate the speckled look as found on the 68-70 mats. Not sure on how it will hold up, but it is not like the car is an everyday driver.

The A bodies I pulled it out of were 70 or up Dusters and it was 20 years ago when I was last in the junk yards.
A bodies were comming in regularly.
Grandma cars even.
Yes it was brittle but I was on a budget for drivers and had no idea about ACC or if they made something.
His older B body does look the same.
I assume it is not only mottled but textured like a loop carpet.
