That's more like it!! Flow through head design is usually much better than ones that ain't! Hope it has beefier rods in it vs the stock toothpick legs.....

re 94,000 mi car, 225 super six slant. painted last fall. Just needs seats redone. Can't get $3500 out of it! I know! It is an F body!!!!!! LOL!!!!!

I love my B-body slant 6. 65 Coronet. I drive it all the time. Decent gas mileage and everything pretty much works.

Had a 78 Aspen with a 6 while in college and a bit after. That car always ran great and I never had any problems with the engine. Didn't use a drop of oil and would cruise just fine at 70mph. The sheet metal on the other hand...……...lets just say there wasn't much left of it by the time I got rid of it.

We have put twin tubo's without waste gates on a slant six with factory rods. Last I know it was still running 30 years later. At the time we didn't care slants were plentiful.

You are asking a 48 year old question. But I think it was kept under 6000. Slants are known for their bottom end the boost did help tremendously.

My step dad had a 72 duster with a slant 6

he was a idiot ! That’s probably why I didn’t like them then. Now I wish I had one. Maybe I was the idiot ?
