Custom Powder Coating ...

Thanks for the post on emblem painting Mo!
You'll be happy to learn I'm done with the first portion of your headlight bezels as far as cleaning up the remaining dings, initial polishing and buffing. Before moving on to the second one I grabbed a crappy cell pic in between the two so you can check out the progress.
It's pouring again today (5" of rain this week ughhhh) so the ceramic clear will have to wait for a drier day; after it sets up I'll do the flat black insets and get them on their way home to you.

Great !! The painter got my Plymouth done and we are putting it all back together. Doors, hood, and trunk are done, took the bumpers over today. Smaller parts , the first of next week. No brag, but IMO, it is beautiful !!! I know the headlight bezels you are doing will really set off the front of the car....Thanks Leanna..................................MO

Just wondering, A friend has a sandblasting and painting business near me and he does alot of powder coating.
Not anything like you do, but high volume. I think if you went out and sold yourself in local industries you could
keep yourself busy all year round without having a dry spell. I'm not familiar with your locality, but industrial
customers pay more for services than us Car guys. Change is not always easy, but may be a choice. Hope
this helps!

Thanks z but the Greenfield area has very little of anything anymore let alone industry. I did some production work years ago but all have closed or moved away.

@super-bee_ski sent me & a few others a copy of the calendar
a big :thankyou: go out to Mark-ski, that was very cool
& @CudaChick1968 Leanna, very nice calendar
at my desk
I wish you the best, I hope you can weather the storm

sooner or later I will figure something out
I want/need to have Powdercoated

I wish you still did hi-temp stuff
I will/may need some headers done in the near future
(probably summer)
I know you had said 'you don't it anymore'

New Powder ****!!

This big spread was a good deal of work all the way from metal condition to powder.

I call it "Petty Blue on steroids," this time contrasted by a gloss white and a flat black to match his intake. An honored Air Force vet, he's taking advantage of my Military Discount for the second time.

The blue is intense with fine flake. It loves lighting and has stunning transitions.

I'm adding a shot of the new Mopar M air cleaner hold down nut's packaging with the part number too. You know you want one! (Jeg's and Summit have them but my dealership contact did not.) They're nice and heavy, and even have a copper coat underneath the chrome.

Here's the latest Powder ****!!

No true justice with either my cell phone or the good 16 mp Canon camera, the latest Powder **** for a '48 Plymouth with a small block (also pictured) is up!

A stunning candy red over a heavy metallic-laden silver coupled with black pearl laced with aftermarket Ruby Red metal flake from Painthuffer turned these old valve covers into something really special! I wish you could see it for yourself.

There was some corrosion around and near the topside bolt recesses (repaired with my high temp metal filler) but the intake was brand new.

IMG_20210416_154058.jpg

The new Edelbrock Air Gap is that same heavy metallic silver on a black pearl base coat giving it a distinctive custom fade-to-black look in the recesses.

The informal outdoor shot is probably the most accurate but doesn't reveal the heavy silver flake under the candy red very well; it kind of shows the red flake but it really needs a video.

Leanna, your work is absolutely the best! The air cleaner you did in the early spring for my 71 Cuda looks outstanding. Powder **** indeed!

Best wishes to you and Billy for many, many more great years to come!

Sweet!
Congrats on your 15th!
Best wishes for many more. I see a pair in my future.

Awesome to still see you folks kickin' it over on the flat part of the state. :)

Thank you all for the kind words! You guys are a constant inspiration.

Just sharing a few pics of a little victory this week on a severely damaged and badly "repaired" old LD340. When I got the brass NPT fitting out there was one thread left on the intake, the innermost one.

A cut off, notched new black 4" pipe nipple and some super secret metal compound -- okayyyy, it was JB Weld lol -- recreated Edelbrock's factory look pretty well! And it doesn't leak.

These are just informal quickie cell pics (still on the cure jig) but I think he's going to be happy. Once it's all outfitted with the bypass you probably won't even notice.
