Location
La Paz, B.C.S., Mexico
This is La Paz, the capitol city of the state of Baja California Sur, Mexico. However, this pattern seems common elsewhere.

I go out after lunch time to pick up something at the fabricator and find all kinds of traffic. Schools are not in session period (let along beginning or ending at this early afternoon hour). Work schedules of 8AM orAM to 4PM/5PM would not explain all the vehicles on the road either. So where is everyone going or coming from? Do they all have to be out on the road at the same time. I'm one of the guilty ones, but most of the time I'm home. I would like to ask everyone where they are going (survey) to satisfy my curiosity, but not possible.

Not sure about mexico but here no one works anymore government is paying good I'm told!
Rush hour used to be horrible now it's the best time to drive everyone else is driving all day now

2nd and 3rd shift plus self employed and people who work at more than one location or work as drivers and "stay at home" moms, etc.

...not to mention those on welfare.

Here it's people going shopping! Everyone is shopping! I'm tryin to figure out how they don't work and can afford to go shopping every day! Not groceries ether!
We're barley making it and can't think of going shopping

Same thing around here. We're in a lockdown, schools are cancelled, most businesses are closed and traffic is still busy. My vehicle fuel consumption is half what it use to be. No-where to go.

Going anywhere but staying locked down at home
or wearing a damn mask "alone" inside

maybe getting on with life, over a year of being locked up
That can & will do that to a person
wonder or drive around needlessly

like me as a teenager, 40+ years ago
just drove around for the sake of driving
such a long time ago

I doubt that's the case thou, but somewhat plausible

no matter the country
