Just replaced my electronic ignition w/ points, yup.

True that. As much as I would like to drive it more,, 460 miles in the last 4 years. A set of points will last me a life time.

I just completed the "5000 mile maintenance" on my Charger. Fairly involved, valve lash, tune up, carb balancing etc. Checked my log book and the last time I did it was 21 years ago!

I agree with you....in the past 4 years, here is my milage on the RS23V0A******:
2020 - 2021 = ZERO MILES. car still in storage due to Covid and no cruises and no where to go
2019 - 2020 = 257 miles
2018 - 2019 = ZERO MILES Health issues...Aortic heart valve replacement
2017 - 2018 = 350 MILES Local car cruises. Traveling with wife not much car stuff, etc.
At this rate, my NOS stash of MOPAR points and condensers (12 sets of each) and NOS Blue Streak parts (8 sets of points, condensers, rotors and caps) will last the rest of my days at replacement at 3-4 years. Plus, I have 2 complete Prestolite dual point distributor parts and one NOS distributor assembly.
BOB RENTON

I now carry an extra condenser Iv'e had two leave me stranded. Acts as if the fuel pump is giving up and quits.
I can't tell you how many times I've performed a full tune up on many kinds of point ignition systems, to have no spark, spend all kinds of time trying to figure it out, then swapping in the old condenser and it fires right up! CRAPPY PARTS INVADED THE INDUSTRY A LONG TIME AGO...LOL
