Hideaways or no Hideaways

hideaways all the way
IMG_3920.JPG

If they were on the car when it was built it gets them . On 71 I can do both, my 72 has them. My 70 RT I couldn’t imagine with out them or any 68-70, other than a 69 500. I have to say if Ma put them on then they stay.

When I bought my grey charger I told the guy if he put the original grills back on I'd buy it. (I.e. replace the hide-aways)
But, I do have '71 hide-aways for my black car that I plan to swap out. (well.. currently red I guess)

I guess I'm not fussy

Honestly - I think it depends on the car... I think the hideaways are too flashy and add too much metal up front... I think the regular front grills look really good - but if the car was optioned with hideaways I'd obviously keep them on...

About 15 years ago when I acquired my 1973 Charger, there were some options that I really like to add to my car, because it was a plain Jane type charger. And the hideaway lights were one of the biggest options and started looking. Now then price’s weren’t as they are today. I payed $650 and shopping for my set. They were driver quality and my car is a fun driver.I don’t regret having the Hideaway lights on my car they’re the best. Prices are crazy now days but so is everything else. You have to make the decision and don’t change your mind.

My '69 GTX has hideaways. One of a very select few with that option! (Ok, I lied. I wouldn't be hurt if it did have that option?)
