Looking to put elastomeric bumpers on my 1972 charger

They only sell 1971's...

Any differences between a 1971 charger and 1972 charger bumper front or rear?

Thanks!

Jack slots on 72

71 had a hook jack.

Other than that, they should work.

Other than the jack slots they are identical.

They only sell 1971, because there never was an elastomeric bumper for 1972. But they will fit a 72.
Just like Go-wings, and Hemi engines, elastomeric bumpers were gone in 72

Yup... Never understood why they eliminated so many cool options in 72... I understand why the performance engines went away but the visual & luxury stuff went away too....

Maybe they could still be had on B bodies but not E bodies.... The parts already existed, why not continue to offer them?

Chrysler undertook a major simplification program starting in 1972. Their intention was to cut costs, and improve quality. Look at a 72 Duster or Demon headliner for example. Instead of having a sewn headliner, with bows, that took an employee time to install nice and wrinkle free, like the 1971 used, Chrysler changed to a one piece "cardboard" headliner. It was cheaper, and quicker to install. Well, that is just one example of what Chrysler's mindset was in 1972.
A, B, C and E bodies all lost many optional items. It also was the year for a whole new design of pickup trucks, so I'm sure Chrysler had invested a major amount of money in those.

If you want a 72, I can make you a 72, just let me know

72 was also the first year for "corporate", common marker lights across the A and B body lines that lasted into the late 1980's on G and L body cars.

That had to save some money.

...and I actually like the cardboard headliners. They don't come apart and they give me a tad more headroom.
