Saturday was our first race this season.
I made one time shot and parked it.
A lot of bugs to work out after having the car completely disassembled for a year and a half.
Nothing major, but needs some attention.
It went 9.77@ 137 off the trailer.
I was happy with that, but definitely will be better.
I never cleaned the carb after sitting on a shelf in the garage for 17 months in my haste to get it together.
Did that yesterday and found 2 high speed air bleeds completely clogged.
Taking it to chassis dyno down the street today to fine tune.
Another race this Saturday.
We'll see what happens...
Check out that beautiful 8 second Dart I'm lined up with.
Its for sale too.

Wow, that's a lot of driving for one time shot! Imagine you just wanted to get the car out. I know the feeling, I have not raced for 6 years. Better luck next time.

That Dart is slick. It's been for sale for a while.

I could only imagine what you would run once you work the bugs out! Looks great 440'

Such as? Always interested in ways to find 50 hp!
So, It was just the issues I had that was holding back those 51 hp.
They were there, they just needed to be released.
I had some timing issues. I needed to move the crank trigger pickup to other side of motor to avoid alternator interference.
Wires weren't properly seated in the cap.
Needed to open them up on the ends to get them to click in place.
2 high speed air bleeds were clogged from sitting for 17 months.
It was all little overlooked stuff that happens when you get your motor back after 17 months, and 2 days before your first scheduled race.
All my fault...
