Hey guys! I’m converting my 1973 Dodge Charger SE to a hard top with the roll down quarter window. I was wondering if anyone had the mechanism/regulator and windows? Please let me know. I’m located in California. I’ll attach some pictures of my car.

Yeah I think you might be right. The regulators are the same but the windows are different. Hopefully someone can confirm this

Can't tell if regulators are the same. Mostly sure they are!

Glasses are definitely diff. 71 is one kind, 72 is diff than 71 although will fit as asembly on 71s ( and backwards ), and 73/74 are diff. We have posted pics about this on the board

The quarter opening height, same as doors, are higher on 71/72 than 73/74. Can't tell if this diff is taken by the upper bracket or the regulator is diff between 71/72 and 73/74.

I know 71/72 and 73/74 doors regulators will interchange althought the diff door height from the middle to rear. The only diff between 71/72 and 73/74 doors regulators is the first uses square sliders and laters are rollers.

This should be a WTB advert ....it is now moved.

You will need all the regulator hardware of course, brackets included, and if the top bracket is diff, will need to make modify that if getting from 71/72.

Aside this, will need to cut the B pillar and elongate the drip rails, make the U cut on quarter jam to get the room to roll down the glass, get the roofrail molding for the upper weatherstrip ( I guess 71/72 will be the same on this ) and a matching upper panels interior. If your SE got brougham interior, it will be really HARD to find upper rear brougham panels for Hardtops. Will be easier get a full doors and rears matched set, non brougham.

Another interior panel hard to find is the sail panel. Headliner side moldings are easier and 71/72 will work too

I have some of the small pieces, not all. Give me a few days to dig around. If I remember, glass/regulators are the same for 73-74 Dodge and Plymouth.

You will need to drill out the “B” pillar, also come up with something to extend the drip rails. The jamb needs to be clearanced, I think I have a template that shows where to cut.

Looks like Nacho and I are posting/editing at the same time. Haha

I can’t say how much swaps 71/72 to 73/74. I know there are some physical differences, mainly the later trim is chunkier and a different grain pattern. You would have to check the parts books.

Well I have a set of sail panels I've been saving since there hard to get !
I have the regulator's off my 72 if you need just msg me if you need ether might have the leading edge moldings for 73 here too I'll need to locate them

My 73 was an SE too. I converted it,it wasn't too bad to do.the windows and tracks were bolt in. I changed the roofskin and drip rails at the same time. I had to notch the top of the door jambs for the windows to roll all the way up.
