This is a car that I brought here to Texas from Bakersfield Ca. It is an original 383 car but it is not numbers matching. The front suspension has new upper and lower bushings, ball joints, 73 A body disc brakes, new master, shift kit in the 727 cable trans, new oil pump, 484 / 284 camshaft, rebuilt power steering box. The 906 heads were used but in good shape. I installed new valve springs and valve seals before I put them on the short block. This car runs and drives great.
This car is missing one front and one rear door panel? Weird but that is how I got it. Front floor pans are good it could use a driver rear foot well patch panel. Yes this car needs work and you either hate a 62 Dodge or you love them. I never met anyone in the middle. I would like to get somewhere in the $4,500 range. I bought the car for $2,500 not running and then put in a different motor and did all the suspension work, brakes, grill, front bumper and grill surround trim. Any way that is what it is. Shipping is available I have a company that I use often and has never let me down.
The car is now in central Texas (76640). More pictures are available upon request.

What trim level is your Dart m celeb?
The trim above the door handle look like they are for Polara 500. but the rest of the car says Dart 440.

Was the 383 available in the 62 Dart?

It's petty obvious it's a frankencar. Who cares.... I think it's nice. Looks solid and I think his price is very good.
