New member from Georgia. Found and bought my Dads old 1968 RoadRunner he owned when I was younger

The car was reddish orange or maybe Toro Red/Hemi Orange when your father owned it. Now its blue. What was the color when it was new? Just interested.

Welcome to the flock! Great car with a awesome story! Glad to have you join us!

Nice.

That doesn't happen too often.

Welcome from Missouri!! Very nice!!

Welcome!

Great story - now hang on to it, use it, drive it and make more memories in the car - it will make it even more special!

I’m not entirely sure. I wish I knew! Any tips on finding that out?

If your fender tag is still on the car we can decode the correct colors inside and out.

The fender tag is a metal tag mounted in the engine compartment, on the driver's side in the inner fender. It will have lots of letters and numbers.

Another way to likely see the original color is to pull up some of the carpet or remove a piece or trim over some interior metal. Very often (but not always) cars that are painted will NOT be painted in the interior so the original color will show there.

Good luck!

Very cool car & good story too
I'm a tad bias, about 68 RRs

welcome to FBBO from NorCal Sierras

A '68 Runner is very cool. Not sure what you can do with the 6 Pak. Never seen an air cleaner set up like that. Doubt that even a stock '69 air cleaner will fit under '68 hood. Good luck.

I made another post posing that question, and it looks like there are a few guys on here with the oval shaped air cleaner with stock hoods. I hope it works!
