Electronic ignition upgrade recommendations

I ike the GM Hei modues, easy to change on the road if they crap out also

Might end up giing that route with a dodge electric ignition 71-77 and add the hei gm module

anyone running that here ?
If I understand, you can run the HEI module with a chrysler electronic system?

I’m using stock electronic distributor with 4 pin GM HEI Module

Also using mini starter, problem now is it starts up fast, and does not sound like a Dodge cranking with a geared starter

I also use a mini-starter, the "MSD labeled" unit...and an aftermarket/modded electronic ignition system.
I don't miss the telltale "Mopar" starter noise, and as far as the ignition, I want a Progression Ignition asap, and I ONLY care about maximum performance from both.

Guys sorry turns out I was ordering the distributor and remember that a member said I needed to check for two wires and low and behold I have two wires ans an ignition orange box on the left side but since I thought it was on the same location as a challenger I thought I had points

thanks for the info everyone

My buddy recently purchased the Mopar Performance electronic ignition kit, which I've used many years ago. The quality has diminished severely since the old days, and I was very disappointed with it when I installed it for him. I upgraded my stock 440 to a Pertronix Ignitor II with the black stealthy look Blaster coil. I didn't bypass the ballast resistor, I soldered a jumper on the back side to run a constant 12v so the factory wiring harness remains untouched, and you can run the Pertronix leads directly off the coil for a very clean and unnoticed install. In my experience, it runs flawlessly, and it looks stock for car shows.

Yes, I am overall impressed with Pertronix products. I used the supplied jumper wire that came with my FBO Ignition system to bypass the ballast resistor.
