I am not one to bash companies online, so that is not what I am going to do here. I am simply going to go over the details of my (attempted) purchase. Back in late March, I called to order a kickdown rod for a crossram intake. I was told that they had these in stock, but I had a question about fitment. I was told that I would receive a call back to address the question. A couple of days went by without a call, so I called back and was able to get an answer and the part would be on the way. Fast forward about 10 days, the part has not shown up so I call back again. I was told that the notes on their computer stated that there were questions about fitment. I reminded them that I told them they were addressed at the last call. No problem, we will ship the part out I was told. They asked to confirm my e-mail address to send tracking info to. I gave them that info. Again, fast forward about 10 days, no parts, no tracking info, nothing. I call back AGAIN, I am now getting questions about the intake. I provide the requested info and patiently wait. It's been about a week since the last call....no tracking, no shipment, no follow up, nothing. At this point I can only assume that for some reason they do not want to sell me this part. I will move on to another vendor. I was never rude, angry, short or in anyway addressed my displeasure with them on the phone, I simply asked some questions, and provided some info. The girls on the phone that I spoke with were all very nice and I wish there was a way that I could have done business with them, but it seems they are not interested.

Is this the norm for this vendor? Seems to me that Max Wedge parts don't have a real big market and companies selling these parts would be trying to get all the customers they can.

That is strange
I've never dealt with them

But;
that's not exactly a good business practice/model

maybe something just got lost in confusion
like you said they were nice & cordial when you called

pretty much lost a month waiting & calling

On two occasions getting the run around I looked up the biz to find contact info for the owner/president. Both times I got a reply with apologies...though in one case they couldn't help me anyway, BUT at least I got the straight answers...

A&A Transmissions has all this stuff. I have bought a lot of transmission rebuild stuff from them over the years and have always been satisfied. I have bought parts from Jim Kramer as well, but usually at parts meets. He is a very knowledgeable guy.

For what it’s worth-
I’ve been to Kramer Auto several times and know them well. This is a family business ran out of their home. (And several HUGE garages). Some of the nicest people I’ve ever met.
Not sure what happened in your case, but I’m sure it was an honest mistake.
(Also it was nice to see an honest review and account of what happened without off the handle bashing).

Jim helped me out many years ago,he had an NOS rear quarter panel for a 70 Charger that he wanted a grand for,and after borrowing money from everyone I knew,I had $835 dollars,he said that will be fine if you really need it for your car! There was no aftermarket Charger sheetmetal back then. It was like striking gold!

i have done lots of business with them never had a problem Jim is a good guy

pretty sure we found the root cause of the problem, maybe if you were ordering a whopper and fries they could handle it ......

sure hope they weren't making 15 dollar min wage
You shouldn't be bashing the girls that work for Jim. They likely know more about Mopars than you do.

i know for a fact that one of those girls is Jims wife, Cindy, and not sure about the other but may be their daughter. I've dealt with them in the past and would again if needing something. Good people! Sorry you had problems. I'[[ bet they would like tomake things right! my two cents. ruffcut

I did hear back from them via PM. I look forward to giving them the opportunity to make things right and it seems that we are heading down that road. Thumbs up to them for promptly replying to me!

I know this is an old thread but wanted to add my experience with Kramer. I was looking for a Max Wedge air cleaner. I spoke with Cindy, who made me feel like we were old friends, and we got the order together. About a week later I had not yet received it. One phone call to Cindy and she explained how busy they were but promised it would go right out. I got it 2 days later, packed perfectly in a hefty cardboard box. Customer service may be the most difficult aspect of business today. I've bought from the big 3 vendors with hundreds of employees and Kramer's family run business delivered better service.
