What did you do today....other than work on your car!?

Trashed my left arm a bit more, but we're getting it done. Just glad I married a true Canadian gal ! 7 hours today and we still have the bottom 30' of the 102 year old tree to go. 20 big rounds left to split, then on to airplanes.... been saying that for 2 weeks!

Now if she cooks, cleans , has a boat and lets you play with cars and toys your set! You better let her know she is permanently stuck with ya come hell or high water!
Treat her sometime ! Gotta keep them around once in a while when they are a good one!

She has the big one and you get the little one! Lol
Lucky man!

Ordered new step pads for the trucks side nerf bars, Dee Zee pads. Ordered a new grill shell, as mine has the chrome separating from the surface..2008 Ram 1500 QuadCab SLT BigHorn 4x4 5.7 HEMI.

Took the boat out yesterday evening for some fishing and I hate fishing with a passion!

The wife and daughter really enjoy being on the lake regardless of what we're doing so I just suck it up, happy wife happy life right. Personally I can't wait for the water to warm up, after that it's tubing, skiing and swimming but unlike fishing I'm garranteed that I will get to do all of the above!

I don't even want to think about that but unfortunately I'll be starting on our firewood soon enough. Hard work!

Snow is mostly gone, except in the deep woods...so will be cutting a splitting soon as well. Shop stove burned about 2 chords of wood over the winter, I had cut and stacked about 3 chord last year, so already ahead one chord for next year. ;) Had several trees drop on the property over the winter during wind storms, so that should probably be all I need this year.

Shipped my 1968 Fargo D100 truck out to its new owner in South Carolina this morning. Took my final drive in it to meet up with the transporter. Met up in a large parking lot at a church next to the Interstate, so loading and all was without drama at all. He was heading East with three total - a CJ5 Jeep, a '67 Olds 442 and my truck. All heading to the coast (SC, MD, DE). Had that truck running, driving, steering and stopping dead-on right. Owned eight years almost to the day (May 13 is that anniversary). So, the truck money is going towards a flatbed for the D300, a gas tank for the Imperial, and perhaps a lift, if I can find a used unit locally.

No work on my car but was going to pull the starter off of my diesel. Got the wires off and the two lower bolts which were tight as hello and got tired of being dizzy. Had this problem for about 20 years now. Whenever I lay down on the creeper or the floor, I have to wait for my head to quit spinning then the same thing when I stand back up. Doctors say they 'think' I may have had a inner ear infection but never knew it if I did. Anyways, I can see the top bolt easily but can't get to it from the top and it's hidden from view underneath so it's still in the truck for now.....

Think I know what that is....but rather not guess. :D
LOL. Sausage, peppers and onions for my G-sons communion Saturday.
Family recipe passed down from my father, about the. only thing he knew how to make
Every Friday was a card game at the American Legion hall and everyone took a turn making something
His one and only specialty was sausage and peppers in a tomato based sauce
Even when he moved to the mountains he'd still come down for those Friday night games....Play until early the next day, sleep at my brothers for a few hours, get up and go back home. He did that until he was physically unable to do it.....

Vegetable lasagna, my first attempt at that....For the G-daughters

Got ready for a GIG!

We play a wedding tomorrow. I haven't touched my gear in over a year. Ran all my checks yesterday - it still works. And I'm pretty sure I remember how to use it all. I think. Probably.

It only fits in the truck one way. Usually I use 2 subwoofer cabinets (self powered 3,000w each) for indoor gigs, with 2 top cabinets (self powered 2,500w 2-way speakers). I know how to load that. Its easy.

This gig...is outdoors. So, I'm using 4 subs.

Its like 105mph winds out there today, so I'm not messing with putting the cap on the truck. I got it all to fit under the flip-up tonneau cover! It was about an hour with the lid off, playing Tetris with the boxes...but I got it to work.

4 subs. 2 tops. My mixer rack. In-ear monitor rack. Microphones. Power cable bin. Stands. Tarps. Blocks of trex decking to level speakers if needed. The only thing that had to go in the cab was the bin full of XLR microphone cables and the hand truck.

Got the nerf bar step pads from Dee-Zee today. Raining though so I'll install them when ever it freaking stops...lol.
