Hello and good morning to anyone catching this !
So as most know I just had a beautiful baby girl Born (with a little help from my wife)
So after birth she choked twice in the hospital one was bad she turned purple! The second wasn't as bad but still scary!
Thank God for the nurses.
So after we were sent home she was a little gaggy but nothing major they said she still needed fluid to come out(c section)
So then she got a small cold and was. Gagging for a week straight. My wife sucked her nose out multiple times a day and we got threw that , we had a 2 week window of no problems figured we were done!
Well this morning we were getting up to bring her to a doctor appointment for a 1 month. I was outside tending to the ducks and dogs . Wife said all she heard was flailing!
The baby turned red then blue then purple she was choking on milk she sent back up from 3 hours earlier!
Needless to say my wife handled it like a champ and all was fine!
We went to doctor 1.5 hours away baby choked 2 times on the way!

Doctors say it's normal regurgitation .
Are these people for real !
We never had this issue with our first child . Most of you have had kids did anyone else deal with this?

My wife is freaking out and I have been put on first watch !
I got up at 4am today so I told her I'll go to 5-6 am ish then it's on her ! Doesn't help I only slept 3 hours night before and 4 hours the one before that (back pain sucks)

Never had a situation quite like that myself, and It's been 16-18 years since I was quite in your shoes.... But I do have my stories with a preemee that has grown into quite a gal!! Her older brother has had his trying times as well. We are praying for you 100% and just keep in mind, you have nothing better to do than raise that baby up safe and sound. I'll bet she'll grow out of it soon. BTW, they do have an insurance paid shot they can give that will prevent so much as a cold!!, but i guess it has other risks.

Well since about noon we haven't had a issue so I think she's fine but better to be safe then sorry

Well daddy's shift Is over . Wife came out brewed her coffee and is ready to go she says
I was much enjoying watching top gear sadly american top gear but entertaining enough!
Baby didn't have any issues with me . Guess we see what the pediatrician says later she's going to 5ake a look to verify there's no issues as she stated!
Freaking having kids is rough! I probably got a few more grays since this yesterday morning!

I think all is fine I told wife we can just angle the bassinet for her but she's high strung on this

My daughter had reflux really bad up until she was about 18 mos, though she never choked. We also had to use the soy based formula, it helped a little. It also kept her in the 1% up until she was about 4.
That had to be terrifying.
My suggestion is to find and good ENT or gastroenterologist I cant beleive this is normal and the md sounds like a quack!
Prayers to your family!

Sorry to hear this. I have two kids (teenagers now) and never heard of this. Both my kids, and my brother's, had issues with regular formula; stomach aches, gas pains, etc. We had to put them on soy based formula. Not sure if that would help you guys. Beautiful kids you got there, by the way.

Beautiful girls you have sir, unfortunately the drama will go away soon a nd return wearing a whole new face around 13 years old

Beautiful little ones you have there. I just finished praying for them and you... and will continue to do so. Go to the Lord often (although you probably already have).

Sorry to hear about your baby having problems. It sounds like yall have it under control. Thats what good parents do. My girls are 17 & 19. Enjoy the first years my teen girls are a pain in the butt. I love them but come Friday and Saturday nights that is why I have a beer fridge in the barn. Take care and enjoy. You will sleep in a few years.

Beautiful kids, your a lucky man.
Mike67 s post about a ENT doc I think is pretty good advice.
I hope for her and you folks she is better.

I know all will be fine, till they hit 13 or so, then hold on!! LOL.

Our son had major problems, and it turned out that he couldn't keep the baby formula down. We would feed him, and within 10-15 minutes or less, it would come back up. We were suggested by the doctor to use Enfamil with Lipil, and after we switched, the problem went away.

Funny story.. I remember picking him up from daycare, had my daughter and wife's son all in the car. We were going to a friends wedding, so had our dress clothes in the car, and when I pulled into the parking space to pick up the wife, I looked into the rear view mirror, and saw a torrent of white "hell" emerging from Mount Vesuvius (sons mouth), and I grabbed my suit and jumped out of the car un-soaked, but unfortunately, the other two kids weren't so lucky. We got into my truck which the wife had, and left her car there for the weekend. That was a big mistake, puke in the Fla sun for 2 days reeks...

Well baby seems to be fine still . She's a tittie baby .
We're going to see what becomes of today's doc visit.
I got plenty of guns and scary friends for the teenage years most are military a few sniper they already said they will follow them and shoot little peckers off if the pop out!

I don't remember that issue
my youngest Jessica is 31 or is it 32 now ?
I do remember a couple of them were breastfed
oldest James (was the best, easiest) Jessica was really easy too
& a couple (the twins Rachel & Rebecca) were on special formulas,
both were on different formulas too

I don't remember the exact circumstances, reasonings
something about not as rich, thick or easier digestion
or IIRC, Lisa (RIP) couldn't produce enough milk or something like that (?)
the twins were a freaken' handful
'sleep' what was that ?
they woke each other up all the damn time, always like 3-4:00 am
like they had 1 brain shared between them... (it's a twins thing)

hope for her & your (or the wife's) sake it passes, quickly
also for full & speedy recovery

2 great looking, cute children too...
