In racing it is, the 1st loser, especially drag racing

(I never mentioned a National Event rounds or
going rounds in a Bracket race event type race
you are 1st loser, if you lose a drag race, specifically singular drag race,
your still a loser if you're not the winner of the whole race,
may not be 1st loser, it was sarcasm Jesus Chrysler :cursin:)

in a car show not so much :bananadance:

2nd is better than 3rd :poke:

yours looked like the best to me
(who won 1st, what car, make model & build vibe ? )

congrats on 2nd place
nice trophy (kid holding it too)

Nice blue 68 runner! Looks like a winner to me! Nice day for a show. We don’t have those in our state anymore.

Actually 2nd place in a drag race is the runner up. To do that you won every round but the final. So 2nd place at a drag race is the last loser.

But in an all run race like a roundy round the winner is first, then 2nd place is the first competitor to lose. The rest are still racing to the finish line.

Thanks , not complaining about 2nd, I had to think of a title for my thread. Lol there was some nice cars to compete against.

In drag racing #2 is not the first loser. It's a final round appearance. Top pay by sponsors. 1st loser? Not getting your car out of the trailer in one piece! I have made a couple semi's finals. Never a final. But have cut a tire in the trailer. The Semi's were MUCH better.

No shame in 2nd at a show! You still might of had the nicest ride there the judge just might of liked trucks !
That pickup is dang nice but I take into consideration how rare something is I might see 3 mopars Total at a show verse's a row of those trucks!
Impala is sweet too!

All that really matters is you got out had fun and got a car show ! We haven't had a real show in over a year there was a really small one but I'm used to 200+ cars not 30 cars

Although I've been lucky enough to place 1st in a couple shows, was lucky enough to have had little competition in these shows knowing of better cars than mine that weren't there. One event where I got 1st, one of the 'judges' was real impressed with the paint on my car and how it contrasted with the trim. Anyway, I never put any credence in judging at car shows unless it is some lofty pro judging event. This is all subjective sometimes ya get a bucket and a pole stick to shove in the ground in front of the car and attendees throw their ticket in it and most tickets gets the win. Depends on what lights people's fires in the crowd...maybe fav color or most shine. Or there are selected judges being fans of one of the big three. Subjective! But looks like there were a lot of really great cars at the show and placing 2nd is really something to be proud of.

Yep now I know why you didnt tell me about the car show :poke: Congrats Mike

I have pictures from a car show in the 70's and the resolution is nothing as good as yours. They are mostly Polaroids.

Looks like a first place smile to me!! Congratulations on a job well done!!

Hey don't look now but that kid is making off with your trophy!

Congratulations on your trophy. It must be nice to get out on lovely day and go to a car show. We don't have them up here anymore. Nice diversification of cars. I was kind of wondering about newish Suburban with hood up next to yellow A M X, though?
