1970 Satellite with a 6 cyl. in it. Been collecting parts for a month. Almost ready to pull the 6 and drop the 318 in. I bought a trans. mount from Rock auto, a good friend gave me this crossmember but he did not know if it would work. The mount fits in the little "cubby" and hole just fine.
1) Does this look like it will work?
2) Will the old 6 cyl. crossmember work?

The auto trans crossmember you have in the pics, will work, but is for a
66-69 B-body because it has 1/2 inch holes. In the 1970 year, Chrysler
downsized their bolt diameter to 3/8 inch size. I have heard you can drill
your torsion bar crossmember to the needed 1/2 inch size, but I have
never done it. If your original 1970 trans crossmember was/is a factory 904 or
727 transmission member, it will work, so no need to change it. If your 70 trans
crossmember is a stick shift C member, that is different, and will not work. Good
luck!

"If your original 1970 trans crossmember was/is a factory 904"
Yes but for a slant 6/904
