Replacing Vent Window Glass

How does the vent window glass come out? I knocked the pin out of the latch handle to remove it and removed the screws but it seems like the shaft the latch pivots on is holding the two chrome pieces together and will not separate. What am I doing wrong?

Thanks, I’m looking to replace the vent window glass not the whole frame. The shaft shown in my picture passes through the glass so it needs to be removed to get the glass out. Should it just push out?

The part you show with the slot unscrewes from the smooth chrome bolt on the other side of the glass. If I remember the smooth side is a carriage bolt style. Use penetrating oil and unscrew.
