Hey all,

This is my initial hello post.

Around 1994 or so, I bought my first car a 1972 Charger, 360 2bbl, bench seat column shift. I was super into it until something I though was cooler came along. I sold it about 1996 and it disappeared. As is typical with this story, I have regretted it ever since.

About two weeks ago I got a facebook message from an old friend. He said that he knew the guy who had my car and that he might want to sell it. My friend gave me the guy's number and I called it immediately. He said he would meet me at his place later that day. I rode to the ATM and out to the guy's place and lo and behold it was MY car. The guy himmed and hawwed a little at selling it but when he saw the stack of bills (all 20s from the ATM lol) he was immediately motivated to sell. I only told him after we closed the deal that it was my car from way back. It even still has the same plates on it from when I had it!

There is no interior or motor/trans, it needs quarter patches, left and right rear foot wells but that is about it! To say I am excited is an understatement, not very many people get a redo on their first car after selling it.

Nice.

...now if only one of my old friends would call and give me contact info for the'70 Super Bee I sold in 1992...

Nice ! My first car was a '73 Gremlin... my second was a 1970 Charger ...that one I'd love to track down and bring home that was in 1979 however . I would have no idea how to even find out where it is

Awesome story! Congratulations on finding it and being able to get it back!

My first car was one my Dad bought for me, a 1970 Chrysler New Yorker with a 440 4-barrel. I was 16 and beat on that car like a typical teenager. When I bought a 1972 Charger SE from Virginia, I finally took the New Yorker to the junkyard. I still have the Charger sitting behind my garage and hope to fix it one day.

Good luck with your project and keep us posted. And with the missing parts, you can build it your way!

Welcome from NY.
Good for you, I'm sure mine has been turned into Chineesium at this point.
But I do have my second car...

Congrats and welcome from Michigan:drinks:

Welcome aboard Sir, from the middle of the mitten. Great story!!!! Wish I could get my 69 RR back that I traded in on a 1976 6 cylinder Dart Sport. Got a whopping $500 for it. I did have a LOT of fun in the Dart (with it's fold down rear seat) but that was a different kinda fun from what the RR gave.

Congrats on the find

welcome to FBBO from NorCal Sierra

Welcome from Missouri!! You're very lucky to have found it. Most of us only dream of that happening!!
