The Carlisle 2021 thread

@T2R9, great to hear that your supporting Don with your business. He is an excellent supporter of the hobby and we will be featuring his pipes with our exhaust hardware to make up complete systems for the show.

For those attending the event, I have posted in the Vendor Forums section for customer request of items needed. That gives the buyer the chance to see and feel the product vs purchasing on line and having no ideal on what they will be getting. There are a number of FBBO vendors who will be attending the Carlisle event and this is a good way to support them and this site by purchasing from them directly.

Here is a link to my Vendor posting. If there is any special request for your shopping needs, please drop me a message.

Here is the current listing that I have for those who are currently planning on attending the July event. If I have missed anyone, do not wish to be listed or have updated information pertaining to your attendance, please send me a message. We are only 75 days out and they will go by quickly. As Hawk suggested for those who have not registered and plan on attending, please consider marking FBBO is your club of choice. If you have already registered and failed to register under a club, you can still update that status. I am pretty certain that this is the most number of FBBO registrations as compared to past years, but still a bit off to qualify for the free tent.

Richard,

I'm in spots E45 and E46. I get spots mostly to have a place to hang out and sleep, but will have a small assortment of some of my leftover parts to sell as well.

Cheers,

Hawk

I just went to Spring Carisle on Friday, i've been there for that show many times and like others i have noticed it kinda going down hill in attendance/ good parts. Not this year! The place was swamped with people and good venders. I got into town around 8am and was stuck for over a half hour on route 11. Shortly after that i was told that traffic was backed up to the turnpike and people were having a hard time finding places to park. There were some decent deals on parts but project cars/ cars for sale had stupid numbers on them and they were selling. All-in-all best Spring Carisle in quite some time.

I’ll be there for my 21st year. Mark, 1967 Coronet 500, Dark Turquoise, Black top and interior. Just updated my registration to designate FBBO club affiliation. Looking forward to another great show!

Awesome - thanks for registering as FBBO!

In a couple of days I'll be posting about some get togethers at the FBBO tent - stay tuned!

Debating on making the trip, if I knew I could pick up a decent 71-74 Charger rear bumper with lights that might do it for me. Sounds like there's going to be a good turnout for FBBO members.

Screw the bumper and make the trip anyway, it is THE BEST Mopar show on the planet and you really don't wanna miss it. Well ok, regarding the bumper they have anything and everything there in the swap meet so I'm certain you will find it. The old saying for the show long ago was "I found it at Carlisle".

With it being the 50th anniversary for 1971 model year, you will typically see more cars of the particular year being celebrated coming out for the event. I know that we have learned to bring extra inventory for the featured year model and body styles as there will be more people attending who are interested in those particular pieces.

You never know what will turn up. But there is generally way more to miss than what you will see. The other suggestion is to make a post under the "wanted to buy section with the possibility of Carlisle delivery".

Just can't handle crowds any more

I went a few years ago, it's a long haul for me especially when the Nats are only an hour away.

I will be next to Hawk in space E44 selling lots of 62-65 B-body and Dodge Dakota 87-96 square body's. Send a PM if you want something , I can't bring everything I have to fit in one space..

And I also forgot, maybe bring your own food/lunch too. The lines for food are normally a disaster in my opinion and the prices are normally a rip off
I remember the Italian sausages being $1.25 probably $8 this year. What the hell isn't stupid money now.

This is my first time going. Can we bring a grill and cook near our cars?

I have always grilled at my vendor spot (which is fine assuming that you act reasonably and keep it small/controlled and don't do stupid stuff). I have also grilled at the FBBO tent (see post in the next hour or so).

I actually don't really remember too many grills next to the cars. A very small and controlled grill might be fine, but someone with a perfectly restored car might not be too keen on coals wafting all through their restored interior. For the show field, I would generally stay away from this. Come to the FBBO tent instead and you'll be fine!

You Are Cordially Invited for Lunch on Saturday - Details Below!

Folks, we are getting close to the Chrysler Nationals at Carlisle!

At this point, I have purchased/secured the FBBO tent. Last year, I had too many irons in the fire, so this year, I will leave my car at home and spend some more time at the tent.

Here are standard tent times for FBBO members to meet on Friday and Saturday.
  • 9AM Friday and Saturday: Get together and discuss cars, plans and perhaps help members out with any search needs (especially Friday). I will be at the tent at least 8:45 - 9:30.
  • 12 Noon Friday and Saturday: LUNCH!!! I will be there at least noon - 1PM.
On Friday, I will have my grill there for members that want to use the grill to grill their own food. Let's meet for lunch!
On Saturday, we can hopefully have a large get together of FBBO members. I will offer burgers and hot dogs (while supplies last *), as well as the grill for others to cook their own food if they like. I will likely also have some beverages while supplies last. Please come and meet other FBBO members and say hello!
IF YOU WOULD LIKE BURGERS and/or HOT DOGS ON SATURDAY FOR LUNCH, PLEASE RESPOND TO THIS THREAD AND INDICATE WHAT YOU WOULD LIKE. This will help me gauge approximately how much food to buy.
  • 6PM Friday and Saturday: I will again have the grill available for people to cook their own food and hang out for dinner. Bring you own food and drink, but a grill and some condiments should be available.
* A note regarding the Saturday Lunch: I will purchase food and work to prepare lunch for FBBO members. However, it is always difficult to determine how much to bring. Of course, it is costly too; I don't want to throw out food, and I can't save what is not eaten due to limited ice/ cooler time. I will bring burgers and hot dogs based on the approximate number of responses that I get. I apologize in advance if I run out. Food will be served on a first come, first served basis. Please be respectful and try to honor your order. If you order food come, if you don't order please understand food will be limited. This can't be a free for all, as the cost for this is coming out of my pocket. I ask for nothing other than the respect and consideration for those who come, and hopefully we will have enough to enjoy ourselves and have a good time!

See you all soon!

My wife and I are interested. She prefers dogs. I’m not picky.

Should I register now or register closer to showtime?

Don't want to register and the car have problems and not be able to drive it up there, she eats spark plugs and power valves.

@69bfan I will be there with the yellow 68 Charger registered in the modified 68 Charger class. Can’t wait to see all the old Mopar iron again! As usual I will swing by your tent for a chat probably on Friday and to grab my box of parts. I haven’t registered yet, but when I do in the next few days I will select the FBBO group as I always do for the club affiliation. Hope to meet some people this year as I completely forgot about the tent last year with all the running around. If anyone sees a 68 4 speed prowler yellow charger it is probably me as I have only seen one other at Carlisle one other year. Come say hi!
