GREAT dog. We thought he was "special" but he is just a really laid back pooch.
Comes from your neck of the woods, or close anyway. My Bro got him from Oregon.
I don't understand my Bro ... put him on a plane to JFK airport! Knowing Brother Ed it was probably a first class trip!

Dodger, the blonde long haired male- 2 yrs old.
Coronet, the brown and tan female- 2 1/2 months old. Will be a wire haired, and they are step siblings.
Both are standard Daschund's, not minis.

Her momma is a Great Pyrenees and her daddy a neighbours Husky for whom fences and gates present little challenge... Their little 'afternoon delight' resulted in 7 puppies. Momma belongs to a friend of an acquaintance; I just happened to be at the wrong place at the wrong time and here she is... oh well, probably cheaper and [maybe] easier than the impending divorce had We not brought her home - the Mrs was real tired of not having a dog around the house, but after Wilson, the best dog ever [this is fact and is not open to debate...] passed over the rainbow bridge a few years ago, I just havent been able to have another...
Anyway, she has a Pyrenees head and ears and everything else is developing like a Husky. Including the energetic berserko personality... But she is a sweetheart...when she's asleep, right before she takes a nap or immediately after awakening...otherwise, a biting/chewing/running and digging machine!
Officially, her name is Bailey Katherine Monsterpuppy. :)

Stock up on Kongs and Nylabones for her to chew on. Very tough and last awhile as opposed to some toys that are shredded within minutes. Moparwhacko, I see you've named your kids after cars. I do that with my cats. Currently I have Dart and Cuda. 14 year old siblings. It took them almost 13 of those years to get out of kittenhood. Cuda used to pick on the dogs and ruled the roost. When she was a year or so old, she used to chase Coco[ the older arthritis dog] around the house when Coco was a pup. Coco would look at me like " dad, this isn't supposed to happen is it?"
