Thought I would post this as it seems a bunch of us are looking for these mylar division channel strips. OEM models when they come up for sale are selling for crazy money. The last batch of reproductions left a lot to be desired, but could be made to work. However they are out of stock everywhere as well. Year One was in the process of having another batch made, but word now is that they have scrapped it. Probably true as Jim at Detroit Muscle Tech told me he was sent a prototype and told YO that he wouldn't sell them because of the poor quality.
Anyway, I talked to Mrmoparts today. They contracted to have some made that will supposedly be better than the last batch and even having the curve molded in. They expect the first shipment at the end of this month. They are selling them for $119 plus shipping. I have a set reserved and will post up what they are like when in my hands. 623-975-7053 is the phone # if anybody else wants to be put on the list.

Well let me know what you get... so that I know I can quit..

Ok, you got me. What's a window division channel? And how would I know if I need it?

The front of your door window glass rides in it. They get brittle and torn up over time.

The last ones I bought were from the Paddock....back in around 1999'ish.

I believe someone bought up all their inventory when they folded....can't remember who now.

Classic bought out Paddock. Used to be a decent company till that happened....

The seal on the fwd edge of your door glass. If you can roll your window up and down smoothly, it's probably good enough as is. If you're going the remove your glass for any reason, it'd be best to have a new one on hand, as the old one will probably get/is damaged.

On my latest project car, the passenger window is stuck about 2" down and I can see that the seal is bunched up.

If the window channel looks reasonable, you can 'puff' a small amount of graphite powder into the channel.
That will help it slide a lot better.
Just remember to be careful with that powder, and clean up the residue around the window afterwards.

Just hung up with MR Moparts (getting on the waitlist) they told me to expect a July delivery. He said they have 250 orders as of today.

Just names on a list. When they are ready they will email you. I imagine they will send an invoice with a link for payment.

They took my cc number and said they would not bill till they shipped. Also told me they would have them by the end of April. Just a heads up, Richard aka 69Bfan believes he would know if anybody has started production of this part, and he has heard nothing. He thinks they are just blowing smoke. Time will tell I guess.

He mentioned that the product was on it's way and that the supplier shipped it surface (boat) instead of air, that is what caused the delay. That tells me it's coming from China. He did not ask me for a CC. I did get an email with a sales order.

Another thread on FBBO reminded me of this one, So I called Mr Moparts to get an update on my order. They said the orders will start shipping the first week of August.

We have been informed that the mylar runs are back in stock and should be shipping next week. We have told the supplier that we would take 200 sets if they meet our criteria. Hopefully if things go as planned, I will have samples by Tuesday. Retail is in the $130 range.

I got word that Mega Parts will sell them as well. Jamie told me $125.00 a pair. Be interesting to find out how they fit since it seems all the repops so far have been sub standard. Hopefully they got them right this time. Good luck everyone.

I'm in for the reviews. The reports I bought back in 2017 are not the greatest.

I got my mylar guide set - parts look good, they are curved like the OEM ones were. Another thing I noticed is that the back of the window slot is squared off instead of rounded to closely conform to the glass. Hopefully within a couple weeks I'll install them
