Changing of the guard.

So sorry for your loss, he will never be forgotten! The new little guy will help ease the pain and will help . Amazing how it works.

After eight short years of the best dog ever, we lost or Cane Corso, Jack. Knees, hips, and cancer. Like myself, he was abnormally large for his breed, 195 pounds of lovins has left our lives forever.

But two weeks before the end, this little turd shows up. Harry, the Hairbearian Terrier. He gave Jack the best two weeks of his end of life.

I am so sorry for your loss. He was a great looking dog, so is that little pup. God speed Jack.

so very sorry to hear this.....this hits way too close to home......words cannot express my sympathy....... RIP Big Boy

I have, more than once, mourned the loss of a dog more than I have certain people in my life....
Condolences, sir. Most of us have been there - and yes, we'll foolishly do it again, too.

Andy, we are so sorry to hear that Jack is gone. We loved meeting him, and you, at your shop. He was one of the sweetest, and biggest :), dogs we have ever met. Losing your beloved pet and best friend is never easy. Been through that too many times ourselves, but glad to see that you have a new fur baby to help fill the hole Jack left behind.

My heart goes out to you sir! We had to put our boy, Mopar down two weeks ago. He was 8 1/2 year young Boxer until about 3 months ago. We noticed he started knuckling on his right front leg. We took him in, they tried steroids, didn’t do anything. Had him set up for an MRI. While there they noticed a irregular heartbeat prior to the procedure. They said they didn’t want to take a chance on anesthesia.Took him to a cardio specialist, his heart would go to 200 + beats per minute. Prescribed Sotalol I believe ( same meds for humans ) got that dialed in. He went downhill so fast, his back legs started giving way. In talking to the Drs., they were honest and said they didn’t think there was any real chance. I held him on my lap with his head on my arm ( his and my favorite chill place ) and our boy went to sleep. He went from a 73 lbs. powerhouse to a hard to get up or fall over confused pup. Mentally he was all there, physically just went away. Something neurological happened, never going to know for sure. The docs said we did the right thing. We do have his ashes and a beautiful paw print of our boy. I’m tearing up just writing this. Take care sir and we’ll all stay strong knowing what they bring into our lives!

As we did with ours, when the time has come find a mobile vet to come to you. Our kids would get wigged anytime it was a vet visit. We wanted them to be comfortable in their own surroundings. We had tranq's already on hand so we gave those to them a couple hours prior so they would be already chilled. Didn't want them wigged when strangers showed up.
