Stop in for a drink.

I still like a good bloody mary too,
spicey with pickled green beans or okra/veggies in it
instead of the celery stock
just haven't had one in a while :BangHead:

may need to go next door, visit my buddy Darren
work on the Jeep, always good for a drink

When I was young I was a Tequila guy
didn't really like whiskeys or bourbon or any blended browns
got into a bit of self-induced trouble doing shots
didn't like brown liquor
I got way too rowdy
they make me mellow now,
can't do Tequila hardly, makes me too rowdy

strange how that works

I have a few Bourbon buddies that are into about everything. Travis, (a Mopar guy to boot) brought over some tequila that we just sipped out of a Glenn Carin glass. It was real good. A step or two above a Reposado.

I really enjoy this also. While I do drink most with a cube of ice this one does not need it.

Did a search and there is no Old Forester within 50 miles of me. My fishing trip is coming up and I am looking for a bottle to take with us. Last year I took Basil Hayden

Let me see what I can come up with Scott. I have some 1920 that is very good. I know I can find one of those. I think there's a 1910 as well.

I heard from my buddy that he likes the Old forester 1920 a little more then the 1910. I really like the 1910 so I am guessing the 1920 may be a little better but he likes some that I do not. I am still trying many different styles and I can say that I do not like smoky at all.

Wow this is crazy stuff. I am sipping it out of a shot glass. It has a mild ethanol taste right up front followed by a sweet creamy mouth feel, a gentle warming mid palate, and a mild vanilla after taste. It is made with wheat which makes a pleasant difference. It isn't thin and drying like most vodkas. Fun stuff and it goes real good with Sunny D. LOL
FYI:
Harlan Wheatley is the Master distiller at Buffalo Trace.

That Wheatley's vodka is a little sweet an very smooth and I thought "I wonder what it would taste like if it was aged on oak"? Well here's day 4 and it looks great. I tasted it yesterday and it is coming around already with the caramel, brown sugar notes.

This is fun! It starts out sweet, sweet and nutty in the middle and rye spice and a little alcohol tingle on the end. The finish lasts a long time with sweet, nutty, and black pepper. Another '' less than $30 " bottle of fun.

Buffalo Trace isn't all that good. Just sayin! Killed a bottle of WT101 so I am good!

I already need one this morning!! LOL

Another one added to the collection. I have 64 so far and I can't wait for 100. I'm still a lightweight though. Friends have hundreds. This one is on my top 10 list for Rye Whiskeys.

I'm a cheap date, this is what I'm drinking right now. Half a cup of coffee and two shots of each of these. I have no shame!!

Cheap date? Me too. Most of my collection is around $30 a bottle or less.

Cheap date?? 1 beer and I'm done!!

Does this need to be adjusted to "frugal" date? After all, I AM part Scot!! :D
