Well I'm through...

Well I'm not....
I bought an intake manifold from a member here. Agreed a price, transferred money directy into his account as an overseas transfer, and he posted it from California to Australia shortly after. It was packed SO WELL, part was exactly as described, great guy.
Not everyone is a bandit.

Kind of a cryptic message. If someone screwed the pooch, call his *** out so no one else here gets burned. Give details. Let him defend himself...or not.

Someone take your $1134 for a perfect item, shove it into a box with no protection and then not care how it arrived...
Please explain Wayne. I just got done writing a thread about a bad experience I had buying a part. Not from someone here though. Really rubs me when someone sells shitty parts, don't package them well and damage occurs, don't communicate, or don't make it right in the end. Guess I was brought up different and actually care about getting people what they want and paid for.

Little known fact : if you send the money for an item to be shipped and the cost of the item. If that person ships and insures said item . Guess who the insurance pays.

Everything I have bought from FBBO has been packaged well.
I guess I have been lucky so far.
Sorry you had a bad experience.

It doesn’t matter what online venue you use to buy used parts. there are good and bad sellers on each and every one of them. Basic human nature. You’re going to get a percentage of shitbags.

Pay with PayPal. Communicate with the seller that you expect the item to be packaged well (shouldn’t have to but humans can be idiots), hope the item is as described.

that’s about the best you can do when buying 50 plus year old car parts.

buying parts from people on FBBO.
That's it ? Elaborate. Your statement implies there's been a history over time of transactions. It's like me saying " I'm through wiping my *** with my left hand". Now, all here on FBBO would be on the edge of their seats, biting their nails, in anticipation of a reason. Where I would simply state, " I'm tired after all these years, so I decided to switch to my right hand." Therefore, it would answer any questions, such as if I actually wipe my *** at all, and then which hand I use to do so.

I don't see anything in the OP's post history that he bought much lately. If you buy from a member behind the scenes you don't have the safety of the feedback system. Of course we don't have a clue what he bought or from who.

I haven’t purchased a ton of stuff from folks at FBBO, but the times I did, it was A+

There’s always going to be those that don’t do things right no matter where you are. Hopefully, everything can be rectified for you!

I'm still curious, like Mike, what the OP's buying history is. I only see a $5 bracket he bought! As for me, I was just being facetious to see if he really had something to bitch about and hate these call out threads!... BUT is this how you pack a one year only "removed from car in perfect condition radiator"? Wish I'd taken a picture of the valve covers with nothing but a two grocery store plastic bags thrown between them. Guess he's selling enough to not have to worry about repeat customers! Money in hand, 8 days to get shipped and then no reply to future correspondence. What happens when you buy from a non board participant / seller only I guess and any that want to figure out who you can do so...

NOW THIS is how you ship a one year only radiator and it made it all the way to Sweden for the guy I sold it to to install directly to his car!

Well - yeah - this is weird. I've always been real careful packing stuff I've sold cuz if it gets damaged it's gonna look like my mistake regardless. I expect stuff could be handled poorly with any shipper. One time I shipped an old Bakelite radio and it was busted up in shipping and I quickly refunded the buyer. I insure anything of decent value for what I sold it for. The obvious idea is keeping a good reputation to keep selling stuff. The OP could have enlightened us some on the complaint...but before naming anyone be sure the person won't try to resolve the issue.

I’m done buying from Walmart. Seriously.

And you can be there and watch it all. From crappy service, not a soul in sight to ask questions too. Products that are out dated, fall apart in the box prior to opening, and in most cases you pay for it your self , bag it your self. While a security guard is watching you to make sure you got a receipt. For got you have to buy a bag if you left yours at home to carry the crap home.
