I did my gratuitous search for trim removal and all I found was rocker panel trim and window trim removal. I purchased a plastic 21 piece trim removal kit yrs ago. Before I go prying into things, can someone here explain how to remove the trim that runs from front to rear of car in the center of the body line. I believe there is a screw at one end of each piece, but can someone describe the tool used and procedure to remove these pieces? Thanks in advance.

Most trim like that can have stud clips with nuts on the ends. Most inner clips could be plastic. Normally when installing the molding goes over the top of the clips and locks on when pushing down and in on the bottom of the molding. I would look and remove any nuts and sneak a pry tool under the bottom edge and pry outwards and trying to look behind the molding to verify the style clips. They should just pop off. Be careful as these clips can be unobtainable.

You may have to pull the interior panels. Look inside the trunk , in side the fenders. I think there will be acorn nuts holding a few of those on. Also. When you unscrew the obvious. Try not to use tools. You may have to gently push down or up on the moulding to release the clips. Prying those will kink those mouldings. Or break clips. Do a good visual first.

Spend the time to find the studs and nuts on the ends. The wheelwell pieces are screwed on under the lip. The clips not on the ends are plastic and the trim just snaps over it. Use a wide tool and pry it off. From bottom is best. Not top and bottom at the same time.

When you go back on put The top edge over the clip and hit the trim on bottom to pop it over the clip. Again not straight on the clip, it doesn’t go on that way. Think of it like an E clip, you install one leg and roll the piece on the other side.

almost impossible to find these clips today.
