1964 Plymouth Savoy Build

Looking Good neighbor - I am just down in Long Beach - if you ever need a hand with anything feel free to drop me a line --- I may start picking your brain when I begin doing my 64 Polara - I have little experience on the early B-bodies

Chuck, this can't be your first restoration. What other cars have you done? Love your attention to detail

Lol! Yes your right it's not my first restoration, but it is my first mopar. My first was when I was in my 20's I help my Dad restore a 56 Ford F100. Was a Road King Member for years in Burbank. Then did a 68 Datsun 510, worn the Japanese Classic Car Show in 2005,and its was featured in Import Racer Magazine on a 4 page article. If you look in my savoy pictures you will see my 1962 Chevy Carryall that I'm finishing as well. It was my Grandfather's Truck. Did a a frame off on that too. Got a 68 Dodge Dart California sport special I'm doing now as well. Making it an L023 clone but with a dual turbo gen3. Done a few show motorcycles as well. Thanks for noticing my work. I love doing it. And more then happy to help.

Finall Decided on a flywheel, went with the McLoed 130 tooth 27lb. Waiting on the ARP bolts to install it. I thinking on using a center force clutch disc and pressure plate. Any recommendations on a parts number? I'm guessing my motors going to be around 650hp.

I too am working on one of these and it is same combo as your, slant and all, and it was a heater delete 3 on tree. I am building it back with same WW1 and red interior but will just change over to a B or RB and 4 speed. Did you paint your back the OEM WW! ? single or two stage?
Will you put the rear seat back or delete it and if so, can that carpet for such be bought from ACC? or have to be custom fit and edges bound by someone?
You sure have a slick build going!!!

Yes, WW1 from PPG. It’s 2 stage. I’m doing a max wedge clone so I’m keeping the rear seat and front bench. The Hemi super stocks where rear seat delete with the A100 seats.I purchased my rear seat delete items from Kramer’s for my Dart. They sell the carpet extended to go all the way to the back board. I think they do B bodies as well. Call and ask them and see. I always talk to his wife and she is very knowledgeable. I have decided to go with SMS on the seat fabric because their stuff is more correct for stock look legendary has the super stock look

^^^^^ Thnks for the info. Great build and attention to detail!
MY build is basically what I did back in about '95 or so. Will be just a fun early B with a bb and 4 speed. Just me doing all the work as always, just an old fart with a small bank account!
My seats were down to the frames because of the car sitting outside in a Tx rodent ranch! I did pick up some nice Jeep CJ5 seats that are so close to the A100 seats, but they do not fold. I have it close to being ready for top coat, I have a 4 sped but need a BB and bell.
On a side note, there is an original 64 Bel. Hemi SS about hr down the road that is close to finish on a resto or refresh you might say. . An original steel car, never cut on.
Thanks again.

Picked up a pair of 6 bolt max wedge valve covers from a 64 from a nice guy in San Diego. Had the the push on oil cap breather but missing the smaller one with the pcv valve. Also they where race hemi orange but had ramcharger 426 decals so I sent them out to be stripped and I will repaint them and put a super stock 426 stick on them because mine is a Plymouth, Ramcharger was in a Dodge. I'm have the oil filler breather cap powder coated black. The smaller pcv valve one I found on eBay and from Kramer. I'll post picks when they come in. Hung the manifolds on just to see how they look.

Cool. Doesn't ring a bell. There was a guy in Lemon Grove who passed away recently that had a grip of stuff. His wife contacted me for help or if I wanted anything. Referred her to some people for potential buyers. Told her I would like some but since I have Obama bucks[ aka monopoly money] I would't waste her time.

Got the valve covers back from being powder blasted to remove the old paint. Also had the oil breather and pcv valve holder powder coated black. Primered and painted the valve cover Hemi Racing Orange

Kramer had the brass elbow for the pcv valve. This was hard to find but I wanted the max wedge version one and not the hemi one. I'm pleased I was able to find everything to put it together
