I put in a new cancel cam in my 69 Roadrunner and I have some issues. When I tried the switch this is what I got - when I switched it right, the left taillight flashed. When I switched it to the center, both lights flashed. And when I switched it left, neither light came on. And at no time did the dash signal indicators flash. I didn't finish putting the steering wheel on before checking the switch so I don't know if that would cause the problem. Any ideas? Has anyone had a similar problem?

I did the same thing and had electrical issues. Slaved in a good used one at the bottom of the column and it worked fine. Out came the cancel cam and I am now happy.

"Slaved in a good used one at the bottom of the column." What?
At the bottom of the column there is the plug for the signal switch. Unplug it. Take a good used signal switch and plug it in. Move the switch to check the left, and then the right signals. If they work then you change the switch out.

I fixed it! the new cam had two red wires coming out of it so I assumed there wouldn't be a polarity issue. As Yoda would say, "wrong was I". I had soldered the wires together wrong. I swapped the wires and it all worked as it should.

I was going to suggest checking the wiring, I used an original 69 TS switch in a 68 but had to swap a couple of the wires around in the main harness connector to get everything to work properly. Glad you got it sorted out!
