is this something new i seen on a tech card they want your ss number you dont win money on a test day or fun day no pay out ? whats up with that wanted to go out later this year but i wont put down my ss number that that mean no racing if i dont what a bunch of bs is this a nhra thing

I thought SIN or SS numbers were personal. ?

I'm with you. Those dipshits have no right asking for your ss number nor do they need it. Seems like it's the norm today though. Everyone thinks they need to know all your personal info for the simpleist things. Especially the younger generations, they have no concept of privacy. And they probably throw the forms in the dumpster once they're done so any crackhead can rummage through it and steal your identity.

Simply decline to give it. If they ask, tell them they will get your number when you win enough money that they need it for tax purposes.... and not before.
If they say it is for insurance purposes, tell them they will get your number only if you have a claim.
My guess is... if you leave it blank and dont say anything, nobody else will either.

Yep, left it blank at Maple Grove last year, tech didn’t say anything.

Next will be vaccination numbers.

They didnt ask me the other day. Is this new??

Just make a number up.
Avoid any hassles

Probably better off leaving it blank. If you do win enough to notify the IRS, you could get in trouble for fraud. I don't think most Tech guys would even care if it was blank.

IRS should be more concerned with me taking a deduction for all the money I've lost...

It always been there. Just don't fill it in. When you win sometimes they may ask for it. Sometimes not. Lots of times you won't get a 1099.

Most tracks in Ohio don't even tech your car in anymore. You just drop your card in a box in the tower. That is 2-3 guys they don't have to make a pay check to.

All fine and dandy until someone gets killed without the proper safety equipment. We had this happen at our track a few years ago and tech ramped up considerably after that!
