Wiper Switch repair

My wiper switch is not working correctly probably due to corrosion either in the switch or motor. Whats involved in trying to repair the switch to clean up the damage?

I'm currently restoring a 64 Dodge, but I haven't gotten to the small stuff like switches yet to be able to tell you anything about our wiper switches.
