I do not post much personal stuff on here but this one today really hit home.
A friend of mine from high school , always lived in this area. A nut , a fun loving guy, We played football together, he just retired last year died aprox 2:00 pm. Today
Mowing a ladies yard on his rider, slumped over the wheel, then fell off to the side according to a couple who seen it happen.
Mower safety switches worked as they should.
CPR was performed, ambulance came , more CPR and shocked with the paddles.
He was gone.
He just retired last year, non smoker , 63.
Allways worked construction , pension earned, plus his SSI. Married , kids and grandkids.
He stopped in the shop for coffee Monday.
We did our give each other **** routine.
Oh and yeh he had a 68 RR in high school, 383 , 4 speed car dark green F8 if I recall correct. Crager SS wheels *** in the air Micky 50s on the back.
He was the kind of guy any of you would have liked. Just a good ****.
Lol.
We knocked back alot of cold ones over the years.

Remember the good times, forget the bad. Give him a proper toast, it's hard to loose a good friend. Condolences sir

Sorry for your loss. A sad day when things like this happen. But we all will go there someday. It's especially sad when it happens unexpectedly to someone who wasn't really unhealthy or very old. Hang in there and be thankful for the times you had.

Gone to soon. Sorry to hear you lost a friend, I am sure his family is in shock.
Sending thoughts and prayers.

Sorry for the loss of your friend!

Jeez, sorry to hear. This is my biggest fear as I get older...losing good friends, especially beer drinking buddies. He sounds like a hard worker who earned a nice retirement, god bless...

Sorry to hear. My condolences. Way too young. Must be true, only the good die young. Prayers

Sad day for you for sure. Sorry you lost a close friend. May he RIP.

I'm sorry to hear this. Peace be upon you now, and in the coming days my friend.

My condolences to you and his family. Way to young to leave this earth. Remember the good times you had together. Raise a glass in his memory! 440'

Sorry for your loss, very sad. It just seems so doubly wrong when our co-workers/friends of 30 to 40 years pass in like six months to a year after retiring. I lost four within 15 months of us all retiring. Life is precious , spend the moments wisely ......

Friendship among men is something that only a friend or another man can understand, if you count your friends with your fingers you have more fingers then friends, am so sorry for your lost, losing a friend is sometimes harder than loosing a relative, certainly they are more cherish and your friend is always there when you need him, remember him fondly and be certain that someday you will be with him again, am so sorry for your lost.
