Maybe this Linda.........

now that’s what I’m talking about. Here’s a pic of my grandpa and her at the Summernationals in 1979, when I saw her last a couple years ago she mentioned how their curves fit together just right!

I think her mother was Spanish. After she went crazy and got mixed up with a Jerry Brown, she had an interview where she went off on her old days of rock and roll. She criticized her fans as being nothing but a bunch of selfish crybabies. It was not long after that interview that it was released she had Alzhiemers or some other mental disorder. I don’t think they let her talk much now. Mental illness is sad.

That's the Linda (Carter) I was thinking of too

Linda Evan was a fox too, Audra Barkley, Big Valley

Linda Vaughn was an ICON, way into her late 60's
she's another one I think when you say, the name Linda

Linda Ronstadt was Jerry Brown's squeeze at one time
that's enough to turn my stomach
she did have a decent song or 2 in her day
before she went batshit crazy, loony & fat/fugly
sad she went down so bad, even prior to having Alzheimers

Linda Lovelace was too, but for a far different reason
another exploited wack job

:luvplace:

When I was in my early twenties I was working for a glass shop.
We had a customer who sent us alot of WS business who had some rentals..
When business was a bit slow I would get sent over to these rentals to repair broken windows and reputty ( the shittiest job in the industry) windows that needed it.. One particular rental had what seemed like MILLIONS of small wood putty windows that ALL needed repair so I spent alot of time their,,,
The 3 young women living there would put on a Linda Ronstadt album while I was outside repairing the windows ( looking in the house) while they ran around in various stages of dress and undress.... They had a pretty nice sounding stereo if I recall....
I can still remember being there about 4 minutes and the record would start up.. LOL... Thank you OP for the great memories....

Back in the day (1976) when female singers didn't need to put on a show with fancy costumes, background dancers, acrobatics & light shows. Just a woman out front singing with her background band. There's not many female pop singers who have sweet & powerful voices like Linda (and Karen Carpenter) today.....

I saw Linda at the Music Hall in Boston back in 1976 & I kept the ticket stub all these years. Check out the price of a seat!

I got mooned by Linda Vaughn in the early 80's at a trade show. WOW!

Mind is fine. We were just walking into the show and she was bending over to adjust her shoes. Dark short dress, dark nylons and shoes to match. Made my day.
