I need to buy a bunch of stuff for my 1970 Satallite, just wondering if I can save a few bucks or is it not worth it.

Don’t hold me to it, but I heard most aftermarket sheetmetal parts come from the same plant- AMD is #1 quality and downhill hill from there to lower companies essentially selling “seconds” I don’t know how true it is. But I’m very happy with all my AMD stuff. It all needs tweaking and finessing

Not worth buying anything besides AMD imo. Unless of coarse you can find some original metal, that trumps any reproduction stuff.

AMD.. no complaints. Was that or my car hit the compacter..

There is a company in the states making USA made sheet metal... I can’t recall the name so google made in USA sheet metal for your satellite!

Thanks all!, I really appreciate your inputs! I have ordered all AMD stampings for my car today because of your responses. I do not see how to turn off this thread for future responses, do I have to go somewhere else on this site?

Glad you got the AMD metal. Consider us Turned Off!

Threads never turn off due to updated replies and further questions from others. You yourself can go to the top of the thread on the right and click “Unwatch thread” option on the choices where you will no longer receive notifications of updated posts.
You will still see when someone quotes you like I did and when someone likes, disagrees or gives thanks to one of your posts. In which you just ignore.

Tabco makes some nice sheet metal by the way. Some of us don’t like to buy overseas and will also find someone to fabricate it for us , non of which is junk. Also sweptline.com has nice sheet metal for old sweptline pick ups... just sharing the info for future . AMD has not impressed me yet but they are better than nothing, it goes like anything else some days good, some days not so good. IMO
