You guys are killing it! This will be done in no time. Nice to see kids involved in the process too!

My son, and his friends, often marvel at how car as messed up as this one, can come together so fast at the end. It’s super hard to show the hundreds of details and bits go into a basic restoration, let alone some of the beautiful works folks have done on this forum. I’ve tried super hard to maintain a good level of accuracy to this build

Ok, steering coupler done. Many tips from here made it a snap. Cap is nice and tight.

I did follow the steps to clean out and repack the grease to the correct depth and made sure to coat the shoes and spring . I’ll note that I added some paint dots to make sure I did not loose the cap orientation, as Chrysler had a nifty tool to crimp these on with. Just barely moving the ears to get the cap off makes reinstalling very easy. Big C-clamp to hold it back on and some beefy needle nose pliers to crimp it

Two updates in one day . On a roll

Booster Dewey, booster and master cylinder installed

Itchin' to drive it yet?

Itchin' to drive it yet?
......it's funny, I've done like 4 67's in my time.....but none to the level this go to....and none that was a convertible. Oh, yeah......dying to drive.

She's going to be a STUNNER in the sunshine!

She's not concourse, but she looks as good as she did back in the early 70's. That's what I was shooting for. I love my drivers more than perfection, and I think most of us do.

Amen. Lord knows Fred is no show car (the paint is pretty amateur), but he's just pretty enough. :)

I think I'm going to go with a FlowKooler 1657 on the build.

Amateur my butt, the car looks amazing. Folks whip their heads around to get a glimpse of that bad-boy.
Yeah, it's the color - I know, I know LOL.
My wife saw the car 11 years ago when we went up on a Sunday to look at it and the moment she saw
the color, she went nuts.
I thought "crap...."
I told her not to show any emotion when I got to talking turkey with the seller.
It didn't work.
He knew.
I was screwed. :)

...lol. My wife hated every muscle car I ever bought......except this one. Something about it made her realize how important these cars are to our country and our collective heritage.

Holy cow, a clean/clear windshield!
I wouldn't know how to act with one of those.... :)
