I’m an E body owner ( don’t hold that against me ! )
1971 Cuda Winchester Gray.

What brand and line of paint are you guys using if you’re color is GA4 ?

PPG can only do cheap Omni.

RM Diamon line and 55 line and they tell me two toners are no longer available!

What have you folks done ?

Thanks. Don

I don't know

but;
Welcome to FBBO

I would think you could get that color in PPG Deltron?

Have you checked with Xalta? They are the old Du Pont, if you go that way stay with one product and it’s relatives all the way thru don’t mix Nason and DuPont, I was told you could but I don’t like the end results..

Welcome from Missouri!!

Many different paint manufactures can mix up GA4.
The real issue is to provide an original sample to color match. The Winchester gray color is metallic with a blue undertone which makes it look different depending on the light.

On my 71 challenger that’s an original GA4 car used the following paints:
• Omni MBC -base coat
• DuPont Centuri - acrylic enamel
• Sherwin-Williams -Genesis

Nothing really. Just trying to see what other avenues people have followed.
Ok, I know little about paint, just curious about something to avoid. Thanks.
Actually about 14 years ago my car was painted with Omni polyurethane and then cleared. My painter found the color that I wanted in Omni, said it was a lot less expensive than a BC/CC. It has held up very well, it was a color change, it was blasted inside and out even underneath. Except for a few chips, the underneath looks as good as it did 14 years ago. And the car does get driven.

@CudaMerf : Recommend only get enough base color to do a spray out on test panel to ensure its the "shade" of GA4 to YOUR liking before buying all needed to paint car: Revisions to the "batch make-up" over the years may not be to your eye liking. Regardless of which paint brand. left side "new revised" 2018 batch, right was pre-2018 revision's batch, right side is it for me. GOOD LUCK
