What did you do today....other than work on your car!?

Youngest grandson was here this weekend. Hiking in the woods, thats a birds nest he is holding. Some dirt biking. We had a big time.

The last step in this radiant floor project, been waiting on great weather to rip this door out and move it up 3" to compensate for the floor. Finally, a few pieces of trim and I'm done. Finished the day off by going for a cruise in the Charger with my daughter, good day.

That door is super cool.

Went to the boss's house & demo'd his man-cave kitchen for new flooring & a sprucing up this morning.
Then puttered about the homestead most of the day after that with sporadic FBBO binges.
Like now.
For about an hour.
Missing my car...

You do know that the Charger is already "no longer your Charger"? You are just the caretaker for her when she gets older - she seems to really have taken a shine to that car!
Lol.. yeah I here that often from her. That's why I have to get the ball rolling on her build asap.. so she has her own. I've been dragging *** on painting the repairs on the Charger but she isn't having it, she informed me that we ARE attending car shows this year. Gotta love her.

Got a motorcycle back to life last night...sorta.

A buddy of mine's son had a '73 Honda CB350F four cylinder that he'd taken apart...and left in the shed. So, I got a bike(ish), a couple boxes of parts, and orders to make it live again. I've been totally unable to find carb gaskets that work, so the carbs kept pissing fuel...until I gave up and MADE my own bowl gaskets. Got it assembled yesterday and it sputtered to life for a little bit (about 2 minutes run-time). I shut it down to check the oil and stuff after it circulated for a couple minutes, and it didn't want to restart for me. Battery has been on charge overnight, I'm going to try again today. Syncing carbs SUCKS (especially when you don't have the vacuum gauge tool!), but when it didn't restart for me I started testing and had no spark, so not sure if coils are bad, or if the low voltage was keeping them from firing. I'm getting points signal to the coils, so I know that's working...

Took my son's '76 Buick Skylark coupe to a pre-'74 open show this weekend. Put 500 miles on it, and it ran and drove flawlessly. I'm amazed that the car has nearly no squeaks or rattles going on. A wonderfully tight car for 133K miles. The Olds 260 2-bbl smog motor got right at 18 mpg trip average, which I expected. It was a fun weekend, at a show held in one of the state parks.

And not one stupid mask in sight!

Replaced toilet seat, spray painted four Adirondack chairs, put a 75 gallon water tank out by the street for take away. Went to HD for a new seat.

Tried to figure out the bass line to "Burnin For You".

I got about half of it in about 45 min.

It's pretty cool, with even a bit of a "walking" part.

One of my friend's started taking drum lessons, and I'm trying to talk him into trying the somewhat non-standard drum line.

I figured it might push both of us a little.

Bonus- there's C body in the vid.

Continuing rebuilding/refreshing my car trailer. I am replacing 7 of the boards, making the fenders removable and bed lining it as well as checking all the wiring and making a hinged license plate.

I worked on two projects today, first one was working in my garage getting things put away and getting rid of all the small scrap lumber I have. The second thing I worked on was the 383 that is going in my 64 Fury, things were all planned out but my helper got called away.

I hope your fury turns out great that was my first car 361 with 4spd beautiful car

Did you list that "scrap" lumber on craigslist?

I believe the going rate for lumber scrap is well above the rate for scrap steel.
