1971 B-body front frame rails

Hello,
I have a question to those who know the answer because I've seen yes and no during my research for the truth
As some may know, I crashed my 71 Satellite a few weeks ago and the front end as been seriously damaged
Among the parts that need to be replaced is the driver side frame rail

I couldn't find any part specifically for 1971 B-body
But "some" say that 71 E-body frame rails are usable with no modification, including the webshop Nationalmoparts
I asked AMD that says they also heard of that possibility but never checked themselves

Does anyone know for sure they can fit both chassis ? Or anybody already did the job ?

Thanks for your help, I'm desperating ...

Yes the AMD E body rails work great for the 71-2 B bodies beings that they use the same rails. AMD would sell a lot more if they actually knew what all their parts fit.

and I'm pretty sure the Charger 71/72 rear bottom half patch they offer works also for 73/74 and they are missing those sales too. If you email/contact them say they don't fit

It makes sense to me since they say the inner fenders and the radiator support are the same, but why wouldn't they say it for the rails, that's odd ?

Yes, I put an E Body donor in my ‘71 RR. The donor is the red one. The only differences I found are three holes in the front part of the rail on the E Body one and the E Body one was missing a hole toward the back of the rail.

Having seen this, decided to throw in my 2 cents: I have been on the hunt for subframes (actually F & R) for a 71 B Body, and asked around, including a couple of manufacturers- and was pretty much told I should look into this further. -Thought I was. Anyway, ran across the Ontario based Nat'l MoParts site (Ontario, Ca), and asked. I was immediately greeted with an affirmative response- yes- that is a compatible component (Front E works for B). I see that this was already confirmed here, but just thought I'd mention this, as I now feel a certain allegiance to them. A used front end came my way before purchasing the new subframes, so I cannot speak from experience.

I can now speak from experience, the E body front frame rails are indeed totally compatible with B bodies
