So after getting the second gasket in for the window. We started. This time the glass guy said what do you think. So we started sanding down the bottom an 1/8 inch then cut down the sides an 1/8 inch also. Then had to cut down the top corner's. Placed it back in and we had to take another 1/8 off the bottom then cut the top corners down and another 1/8 inch all the way across the top. Put it back in and still too tall. So we too more off the corners and across the top. It was still tight but went in. Did not want it too loose. So thanks to all for the tip's and advice on the window install. So here is pic's and some of the engine bay.

So you had to cut down your back glass to fit and now you did the same with the front one??? I'm at a loss as to why the need for that. Did someone build your car with the photocopier on 97%? :poke:

Wait ! Are you saying that you had to trim the glass down to get the windshield in ? ?

Fact is the after market glass is really too big. The trim fit's fine so it was not the builder. Have heard of other's having to trim the glass also. But it is in and done so I am happy.

I know the windshield can be trimmed down because it's laminated glass. But on my 69 charger the rear glass is tempered glass and cannot be cut or sanded. even a small chip can cause the tempered glass to shatter into a thousand pieces! Is the roadrunner rear window not tempered??

Had to pop on having a laminated one made. It was costly but wanted to finish the car. After all the time and money it was worth it in the end. My glass guy here in south fl. Kept the mold and was a good company to work with.
