Jesus Chrysler! ....... that's not yours, right? driver took a beating!

No sir , my friend towed it in this morning. The guy was knocked out and was transported to the hospital. 9:00 in the morning, who would think a deer would run out in front of you ?

Wow, that sucks!! Hope all is well with driver!!

Out of curiosity, who ends removing Bambi from the vehicle?

**** that looks like my truck. I guess I need to armor plate my windshield.

Sucks to be that deer

I hope the driver recovers fully

the road I live off of has a min. of 100+ car/deer kills a year
sad really

I hear some good stories
from my neighbor the Calif. Fish & Game Warden Lt.

Deer did you hear that car -lets go run across the road-.jpg

Deer give no warning. They play Russian roulette except with cars. They do make a mess.

Yikes, is the vehicle totaled?

Most likely totaled, though fixable. Don't see an air bag. I've seen a lot of deer collisions and I like them as repairables, a lot gets damaged, but nothing seriously bent. They are often driveable as is. The last one I did, the AC condensor had to be changed as there was a crack.

Planning a trip through the Wyoming and Colorado Rockies. Planned my departure so as to avoid dawn and dusk. Then somebody posts a broad daylight deer crash. I've seen them line up as dusk, many dozens of the things, just standing there in the ditch, watching you drive by. I'll be returning after dark and around Lusk, I guess that's what full coverage is for. What you don't want to hit is a horse. Don't see many deer go through the windshield, but horses are so tall, they too come through the windshield with fatal results. 1,000 pounds of meat at highway speeds is deadly.

A friend with a large ranch says he has killed many hundreds of deer, and even a few with guns. Caught in the field, he runs them down and over. I marvel as I've seen the damage to his pickups. I give his number to hunters I run into.

Any idiot horse owner that allows their horse to wander around on the road should be arrested for animal abuse and have their nuts cut off!

If those dipshitz stayed still they'd live longer. Generally they do the wild dance changing direction every second or so and it's pretty hard to miss them. We have a bunch that live near me and fortunately they're really tame and just stop and look at you when you go by them

2 or 3 years ago I was on my way to a car show with my Road Runner at about 0900 when a deer wandered across the road in front of me. We were on a collision coarse. It was only the sound of my screeching tires that made her look up and jump out of they way at the last moment. It would have been my 3rd one.

Instead of charging us to shoot them, they should put a bounty on those long legged, short tailed rats.:elmer:

My buddy at the body shop fixed a van that had hit a deer and it was a low hit.
The van had PooP all over the driver's side all the way back to the tail light.
He was getting ready to deliver the vehicle to the customer and told the "Goon"
to wash the van. When he did, they realized the PooP had discolored the paint
and he had to paint the whole side!

My buddy bought a brand new Porsche 911 convertible a few months ago. He was driving on a main road near his house with the top down doing about 35mph. A deer jumped out from the other side of the road, leaped over a motorcycle and landed on his windshield (you can see the fur stuck in it). The deer rolled off the hood, laid there for a minute, got up and limped away. My friend was really lucky. A split second earlier or later and the deer would have either landed on his head or he would have ran into it which would have totaled the car, as it's rear engine. As it is, it was over $15k in repairs for a new windshield, mirror and to clean the interior from glass dust. If Porsche didn't reinforce the windshield frame so much, my buddy would have been killed or seriously injured.

most of that's avoidable, just watch for the shining eyes, they always look toward you, I lived 6 miles out of town and could count 4 to 5 hundred on the way during the winter, never hit one and I hauled *** a lot when I could , when I go into deer country I look ,you should see what elk and wild horses do
