hello. i just got my new magnum 500s on my car ordered them on 1/18/21.cooper cobras too. 1450 total. i got two tires for 100 dollars . they are nice 15 x 7s with 215 x 4. i do have 2 inch lowering block s on the back i would like to be gone. my question is for correct u bolts ? i measure the ones with the blocks are 7 1/2 long with 1/2 dia. and as far as i can tell you can use these u bolts, (same as factory). can i just slip blocks out after loosening and re-torque the same bolts? i will be posting some pics of new tires soon weather is bad all week here. thanks be safe .

With lowering blocks, you need longer U bolts. If they are threaded far enough, loosen the nuts, remove the blocks and torque the u bolts back up making sure everything is in place. If the ends of the u bolts are too long just cut them off 1/2" below the nut. Double check but the torque should be around 50 ft/lb.

Might have to loosen up the U-bolts more than you think since the spring has a locating pin that should be sticking into the blocks and the blocks might/should have the same thing going into the pad that's welded to the axle housing. Might also put a dab of red loc-tite on the threads up near where the nuts will come to a rest.

...and don't forget to thread a nut on those U bolts (or better yet a die) before you cut them.
