Sounds like a good time to head into the house and kick back. After running errands all morning I'm ready for the old man chair!
we got a sprinkling (not much) of rain
the past 2 days Sat & Sun, an hr here & there
just enough to get the decks wet
May Showers
the grass is still somewhat green
supposed to be high 70's today & tomorrow,
then low like high 60's to 70 Wed. thru Friday
actual nice temps for this time of year,
back to normal by the weekend
I'd guess about 85* is the norm/average mid-day,
for mid-May, for up here
low humidity is nice
Rain this time of year just makes the grass grow more
makes for more fire fuel
(Leaders here don't know how to manage, water or forests, sad really)
I'm not looking forward to fire season,
what used to be just Summer & Fall
lots of rain & snow this Winter (up here),
lots of vegetation has grown/regrown
in all the places that were burned out last year
all the wild grasses are 2' tall
Mother Nature comes back strong
I like out west, the times I was out there, no grass to cut, no Kudsu, no leaves to rake, yards are gravel, water rights would suck though. My sister-in-law lives in Durango and her brother lives up above Albuquerque. Weirdest places though. How I miss rain!
Desert Life is starting to wear me down!
Tennessee here I come...hopefully...
I sure wish some could be sent your way.Sure wish we could get some of your rain. Borderline drought around here.
