Sounds like a good time to head into the house and kick back. After running errands all morning I'm ready for the old man chair! :D

Left arizona at 9 a.m. almost 90° out, headed to california with a.c. on, yesterday.
Rained on during the trip in california, sprinkles and 55° late afternoon. Had to hurry to empty the stuff out of the pickup bed that i didnt want wet. Heater on in the car to go get a burger.
Saw my own breath outside this morning.
What the.....?

We've finally got some nice weather, by this time every year everyone is really ready for some sunshine and warmth.
It's been fairly sunny now for the past 4 days.

No rain for over a week and none forecast for 2 more weeks, we dry here in Va. Grass looks like late August and I’m trying to grow a putting green.!!

we got a sprinkling (not much) of rain
the past 2 days Sat & Sun, an hr here & there
just enough to get the decks wet
May Showers
the grass is still somewhat green
supposed to be high 70's today & tomorrow,
then low like high 60's to 70 Wed. thru Friday
actual nice temps for this time of year,
back to normal by the weekend
I'd guess about 85* is the norm/average mid-day,
for mid-May, for up here

low humidity is nice

Rain this time of year just makes the grass grow more
makes for more fire fuel
(Leaders here don't know how to manage, water or forests, sad really)

I'm not looking forward to fire season,
what used to be just Summer & Fall
lots of rain & snow this Winter (up here),
lots of vegetation has grown/regrown
in all the places that were burned out last year
all the wild grasses are 2' tall

Mother Nature comes back strong

How I miss rain!
Desert Life is starting to wear me down!
Tennessee here I come...hopefully...

Gee, for two months last year WE had orange skies...darn Fires!

I like out west, the times I was out there, no grass to cut, no Kudsu, no leaves to rake, yards are gravel, water rights would suck though. My sister-in-law lives in Durango and her brother lives up above Albuquerque. Weirdest places though.

Been raining the last three days with more to come. We may see some sun Saturday. It is hard to get things done with constant mud.

Sure wish we could get some of your rain. Borderline drought around here.

Here’s mine from last year. Haven’t seen anything like it before or since.

.....and just got 1/4" in 8 minutes!

I thought that was a Traffic Report to begin with....sounds like our motorway that was snarled up most of the day. :cursin:

Just a little under 2" since Sunday but the forecast is for much more the rest of the week. Luckily, the majority of the heavy rains has missed my area but it's been all around. The percentage is lower today but goes back up tomorrow.

We are actually see a strange looking object in the sky. Don't see it much anymore. I do believe it is called the sun. Tomorrow back to rain and clouds.

Tornado watch right now in our area ,Cranky ! Till 9pm Houston area

I misread. I thought you wrote 8 seconds and the rain was now keeping you from the track.

I check how much rain in a washtub, more accurate than that 1”x 1” ‘rain’ gauge.
