71er Charger junction roof /body

Hello out there,

for rebuilding my car, 71er Super Bee with Vinyl Top and preparing the car for the paint shop I need to know if the junction area underneath the Vinyl top is smooth and flat(filtered) or if the seam is is uneven. Meaning where the roof skin is spot welded on the pillar/body. On all Pictures I have checked it looks smoth and flad but just to make doubel sure I rais this questions to the experts?

On my 70er Mustang Sportsroof the connection is "fillered" but this car have got no vinyl top despit it is the wrong brand.

For the most part the seam at the roof/quarter is filled with plastic filler on vinyl top cars. Lead filled on painted top cars.

mine was lead filled and vinyl top... but sure was assembled in Venezuela, not in USA

EDITING... I guess being halo top, will be allways lead filled like painted tops

My brother sealed the seams as if my car was a painted roof car to prevent any chance of rust.

My '71 Charger has leaded seams, but it originally had the 1/2 vinyl top where the top stopped at the B-pillers and had a chrome piece across the roof to finish off the end of the top.

FWIW, my 71 Satellite had a full vinyl top from the factory & it had lead in both sides seams and a skimcoat of plastic on top...mostly lead though. My seams look identical to yours & I believe the Charger & Ply B's shared the same roof skin in 71.
My car was built in St. Louis in February of 71'

I've heard of full V-top cars getting lead is why I said for the most part. Of the several roofs that I've removed it was plastic for V-top and lead for paint. Also I'm talking about the seam itself being painted or vinyl and not the front of the roof.
Also 71-4 2 doors share the same roof skin.
