General Kinetic Camshaft info needed please

With a degree wheel & a dial indicator you can get the info you need. Dial indicator will tell you the lift. Easy to do. The GK cams were very bad *** for the day.

My GK book says 316 int and ex duration .590 and .602 lift 106 centerline valve lash .025 application says revs to 7500

IIRC that was the next step up from my .585/308 FT. It would certainly produce real good power. I shifted my 585/308 at 7000 RPM, pulled strong all the way.

I have that same cam brand new and glad someone had specs on it wonder what CL was

Just as a minor side note, (which some may already be aware of), but the mid '70's GK's mentioned are quite possibly Harold Brookshire designs. (UDHarold, GK, Comp, Ultradyne, Lunati VooDoo). He was GK's cam designer from '74 to early '77.

My original 585/308 SFT was from '72 or 73. Good cam. My GK mushrooms were from '76 or 77. Not sure who the designer was for either of these, but they sure did the job. I know my Chevy buddy sure his Ultradyne in the mid '80's.
