What shocks should I run with my 454/455 SS springs?

Car will have a reverse manual valve body with a transbrake.

3800lbs

4.11 gears

12-1 compression nitrous 383

8-3/4 because I won't buy a Dana until I blow it up.

MP SS shocks?

Hijackers with extensions? (really like that damn rabbit sticker)

Rancho's from a '70s Dodge truck?

What do you guys run?

For a street car, I use late '60's Chrysler Imperial shocks. They have longer extension.

Dodge truck shock from Napa

Much like said above, all have been used. I for one did the early Imperial shocks and the truck shocks.
Now a days most shock companies web sites have specs on the different lengths available.
Oh yeah,Air shocks is a "Up to you" type thing. Not much used anymore.

Depends what you want to do with the car. I used QA1 single adjustables on all 4 corners.
Measure the extended length needed for rears.

I have the same SS springs on my '67 Satellite. I used to use the Monroe-matic truck shocks on my car when I was running bias ply D.O.T. slicks but when I switched to drag radials the car would hook, then start spinning 30 feet out. I switched to the Competition Engineering 3 way adjustable shocks and that problem went away and my 60 foot times improved.

I run the MP longer ext shocks on my 63 with the 3400 lb SS springs. Ron

I am using the old Rancho 9000 (RS99116) which Calvert racing took over. Their part is CR22142.
