There really are trying to get us ?!

Just spoke with a guy from over the pond, said London was too touristy when he lived there. He is a Stones nut, and was telling me how he lived close to the stadium when Live Aid was going on.. Now he live here in Il and says our healthcare system is nuts ..

Sounds like we could get about 60k halfway sane immigrants to come over; bring over the old beasts AND buy a few firearms. Ur welcome here, but get rid of that accent!

Well back to round rock wheels and open floors. Resales on classic cars is going to take a dump there. Then it will venture out from there.
What a bunch of crap.

on a good note. Maybe they can stop building shitty oil leaking, oil burning english cars. Those things stink. :D

Its kind of sad to see what is going on.
I was just messing about the english cars. Though I dont like fixen them.

As if there not enough in the world taking place thats probably far more important.

A friend of mine is from England. She still has her British accent and all. She went back for a visit a few years ago, and says the country now stinks like diesel fumes.

So New Jersey is only doing emissions inspections. NJ has their own inspection stations. AND if your vehicle is 1995 or older there is no inspection at all! I think the idea is that OBD-2 started in 1996, I think, and they don't want the inspection stations to worry about the older stuff. So right now only 1 out of the fleet of 5 needs to be inspected, the '01 Forester, and even then the clowns had difficulty and I ended up going to another station. The joke was that when I lived in PA the MAX always passed emissions!

Here in Ontario, we used to have emissions inspections every other year. Mainly along heavily travelled Hwy 401 corridor. People 75 miles North of me did not have to get their cars inspected. It was just a major govt. cash grab. After years of making garages buy all the latest testing equipment and dyno's, they wised up and ditched the whole plan. They find most cars were compliant anyways. My old cars never had to get tested.

But what can a poor boy do
Except to sing for a rock 'n' roll band
'Cause in sleepy London town
There's just no place for a street fighting man
No

Back in the early eighties in Massachusetts I had to have the emission test done on my 70 Charger R/T SE and my friend from high school did the testing. So I go to start the car up so that he could put the probe in the tailpipe and he says to his coworker, go get the mule, and the guy backs up a two year old Dodge Omni up to the garage door behind my car,he stuck the probe in the Omni's tailpipe and the machine said pass, he said your all set and put the sticker on the car!

My best friend did the same thing with my old Subaru. He worked at an Audi dealer and hooked it up to a new car! But the Max passed legally!
