I got about 15 B Bodies and 3 E Bodies I only have two B Bodies that aren't Chargers, a 70 Road Runner convertible, and a 66 Belvedere. Two of my E Bodies are convertible Challengers, and the other one is a 71 Cuda. The solution is to have some of each!

I have all 3 and like them all for different reasons... 69 Dart with a 512, 66 Coronet 500 now a 440 and a 70 Barracuda Convertible. The A bodies are the best drivers, just lighter and more maneuverable , the E body is the best looking by far, and the b body is easier to work on and I like the big trunk and it’s just feels like a muscle car. I wish my E body was a coupe now.

I have to share this. A friend of mine, his father started a Chrysler dealership in 1947 and was in the business till 2016 when he passed.
We were talking one day and he shared his opinion on E Bodies. "I don't know what the big deal is about these cars. The rattled, squeaked, The doors were heavy and hardly ever closed right.Plus they leaked water like crazy on the floors and in the trunk. They were a warranty nightmare.Thank God they only made them for 4 years."

I currently have both and E body and a B body. The 71 Cuda is nice to look at but the Cordoba is much nicer to drive. I've always wanted a cuda and by divorce was my ticket to getting one. If I had to get rid of one of them, the cuda would be gone in a heartbeat.

Ive owned pretty much every body style mopar offered from mid 60s to early 70s

And i have always liked the B body cars much better.
I bought a 66 satellite last fall and its the 1st of the body style ive ever owned and i LOVE it.

Although.....if i think if i were seek out a garage mate.

I would probably look for an A body. Even considered a 64 65 Dart .

Seems mostly everyone here has a cuda if they have an e body maybe I need a cuda then.

The general consensus I've heard is that the E bodies were just too nose-heavy and didn't handle as well as the B bodies.
Both E and B bodies look badass, but I'd have to go with a B body for a well-balanced suspension and tight feel.

I've got a 68 Road Runner, but I just recently picked up a 64 Newport and I'm starting to become a C body believer.
I've got the B body for muscle and performance, the C body for style and smooth cruising. What more could you want?

Well this got a little long, sorry. These are my opinions, no disrespect to E body lovers. I know some love em, I do not.

B bodies are the complete package. They ride and handle very nice, they have a back seat and a trunk. Very well balanced and comfortable car. And with all the styles & combinations from 62- mid 70’s it easy to find one that fits your taste! They make great daily drivers, road trip cars, tow trailers good, drive in the snow good, and drive high speed good. Well balanced cars.

I’ve owned about 50 of them in all shapes and sizes from 62-70. Lots of GTX and RR. They just drive so nice and the 67-70 R/T and GTX 440 magnum is just an awesome car. Many 62-70 318 cars, which are sprung a bit light so they don’t handle very good, but still ride great.

E bodies are a swing and a miss. They moved things around as far a steering wheel and seat placement to the dash. The seat is on the floor so my legs feel like the are straight out with little bend to the knees. So now they don’t sit very well, I can’t see out the back of them. The doors weigh a TON! Little tiny door mirrors in 70 can’t see a damn thing out of them. Who though those front projecting dash lights were a good idea? Can see a damn thing with them. They have less rear weight and short in the rear so the back end gets thrown around and ride like crap. Ever tried riding in the back seat? LOL

The only thing they got right was the short Pistol grip shifter and moving it rearward in the car! A+ there!

They look great 70-71, but I don’t want to drive one. I don’t enjoy the ride. The 1971 cuda standard seats, slap stick shifter, and dash pad are ugly. The styling changes for 72-74 are absolutely horrible in every way. Every change went the wrong way. Grille, taillights, side markers, bumpers. (In my opinion)

I’ve tried owning many of them: a couple 318’s, a 318 convertible, Gran coupe, 383 4 speed dodge & Plymouth, 440+6, and a T/A 4 speed. The TA was the best driving and handling. So it seems they need lees front weight, more spring rate and a rear sway bar.

They look great as race cars, and 3 guys have won NHRA stock eliminator national championships with them: Al Corda hemi challenger, Chuck Rayburn 6 pack Challenger, Don Little hemicuda. But I credit the owner/drivers here, they could win in anything.

I don't dislike E-Bodies
I just like the B-Body more

now after 1972
a couple years 73-74 of E-bodies Barracuda & Challenger
were preferential to me
over the same period in the B-body
well, except for the 3rd gen. 71-74 Chargers
I still preferred them, in those years

It's not a 'real dislike' (or hate as some will/accuse or say)
as much as I don't like them as well

I do like a couple, especially the
70 AAR 'cuda & 70 Challenger TA
are both bucket list cars

I like them all as in racecars, pro-street, resto-mod
or pro-touring fashion
I actually think they look better in that style

I'd especially like to have a 70-71 Hemi 'cuda,
or secondary choices of a 70-71 Hemi R/T (SE) Challenger
but way out of my price range

I like some C & A-bodies too

to each their own,
it'd be a boring-*** world, if we all liked the same ****

I owned a '71 Newport (4dr) for a few years. Everyone thinks a C-body has so much more interior room, but in reality, aside from the added width, head and leg room is pretty much the same as a B-body. The car is all body.

Regardless, I still loved the car, and if it hadn't had bad cowl rot, I'd probably still own it.

Most of the different varieties I've owned are from the '70's (A's, B's C's and one E). I always end up back in a B-body. Just personal preference.

68-72 B bodies #1
70-73 C bodies #2
70 AAR or T/A #2-1/2:D
67-69 A bodies #3
66-67 B bodies #4
I've never owned an E body, but I really admire the '70 & '71 styling.

There's not a loser in the bunch.
